I just found out voting is gay

Please stop engaging your six year old patients in political discussions while you fondle their balls, thank you http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/angry.gif

The whole attempt to rig the caucus vote in Maine is so obvious even the oblivious national media has now picked it up. The corruption and favoritism is just bizarre given that the state caucus isn't even a binding result for the state's delegates. It just goes to show how eager the GOP elites are to cheat for Romney.

Voting got gay when Puff Daddy started doing it and told everyone else to.

Oh and Guy, using gay in this context is offensive.

How about "virgin"?

Is that offensive in this context?

longrema 02-18-2012 03:44 AM

You do realize that I am mocking that very usage, yes?

When used with a derisive attitude (e.g. "that was so gay"), the word gay is pejorative. While retaining its other meanings, it has also acquired "a widespread current usage" amongst young people, as a general term of disparagement.[30][31] This pejorative usage has its origins in the late 1970s. Beginning in the 1980s and especially in the late 1990s, the usage as a generic insult became common among young people.[31]
This usage of the word has been criticized as homophobic.

Considering he's just mocking your "I just found out vogueing is gay" thread, your complaint/warning to Guy disingenuous in the extreme, Alby.

Also stupid.
But voguing actually is popular among and has its origins within the gay community.

And **** copy-cat threads. They're ****ing stupid and annoying. Other forums don't do this dumb ****.

What do you mean, a personal attack? There's nothing wrong with being gay. Come out of the closet already.
It's a personal attack because I'm not gay.

LasTins 02-18-2012 04:35 AM

Alby, I would suggest that making 35% of the first 20 posts in a copycat thread is a piss-poor way of expressing your dislike for them.

WhiliaStelt 02-18-2012 04:45 AM

Al, you are rapidly becoming as easy to troll as Sloww.

Gay is not a negative term. You're using it in a negative light. That is offensive and you have no ground to stand on here with your usage. I suggest you change it and/or apologize because this is a bannable offense here.
There is no such thing as bannable offense here. Banning is best regarded as an astonishing achievement requiring monumental efforts over a very long time period. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/nod.gif

I feel inspired to start a "I just found out homosexuals are gay" thread. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

Should I?

How about a "gays aren't gay thread?"

This thread is so stupid, that it's straight. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/mad.gif
