Okay. Find me a democratic governor or senator that agrees with legalization. Just so you know, Obama's totally in favor of locking up potheads. John Kitzhaber, Oregon governor Jerry Brown, California governor Christine Gregoire, Washington governor Brian Schweitzer, Montana governor John Hickenlooper, Colorado governor Dan Malloy, Connecticut governor (also wants to decriminalize it entirely) Jack Markell, Delaware governor Neil Abercrombie, Hawaii governor Pat Quinn, Illinois governor Martin O'Malley, Maryland governor Deval Patrick, Massachusetts governor Mark Dayton, Minnesota governor (but under "narrow" circumstances) Peter Shumlin, Vermont governor Senators are definitely less, but a lot retreat to "it's a state issue" it seems. Here's a rundown of the 2008 candidates' positions on MM: http://granitestaters.com/candidates/ |

Romney pays a lower tax rate then around 3/4ths of Americans. It just goes to show how ****ed up the modern tax system is where people who make millions pay very little yet middle class people pay twice as much as a percentage of income. We really need to raise taxes on the rich so the bastards at least pay the same percentage the rest of us pay.

Sort of. He just wants the Federal government out of the picture, but he's A-OK with a state being as draconian as they want about it. Paul is not a champion of individual liberty as his supporters delude themselves, he's just a "states' rights" authoritarian instead of a Federal government one. |
