It was, I have a really back sore throat this morning, I was out in it.

You could not see 50+ft in front of you. There is a THICK layer of dirt over EVERYTHING.

Worst "DIRT" storm I've ever seen.

I was in one while I was working in Mexico, but didn't have nearly as good a view. That video was way impressive. Thanks for posting.

Very cool stuff, like something out of an ID4/The Day After Tomorrow movie.

That's what it looked like yesterday!

There is still a ton of dust in the air, can barely make out the McDowell mountains from my house, which are only a few miles away.

This vid is also pretty sweet, linked it off from the original vid.

Hahah! Funny movie.

But Alex, dude...a haboob of this magnitude (50 miles wide), has never been recorded in Phx,AZ history (as far back as our records go).

Was definitely a sight to see. O_O

Yeah I guess so, hope you folks are okay down there.

When we get dust storms, this happens:

Yeah, we have accidents like that every now and again.

But we have dust storms almost every day during our monsoon season here. But this one was just gigantic.

I've got on video (From my old JVC Hi-8 camcorder) from several years ago, one of the CRAZIEST lightning storms I have ever seen. Constant rumbling, and CONSTANT Air-to-Air and ATG lightning every half second, maybe less.

I should dig out the old TV Tuner card and Hi-8 tape and post it up on Youtube. It's insane. But it was never sensationalized. Like this haboob was. [rofl]
