But...but, it's so much more difficult emotionally to stab someone!

And guns are concentrated evil!

Nice, people never hear about when a gun saves lives.Hell there was a old man in NV ( I think ) that shot at some robbers trying to jack everyone and the casino machines. They perps ran out like little bitches and I think even one got plugged in the ass.It was all on tape too, funny stuff.

No, we only hear about the bad **** like Aurora and Columbine and with good reason they are terrible , BUT when a gun saves a life that is a great thing and should also be shared with the same vigor as a massacre.

Thread title is misleading, he didn't actually shoot him.

This is one of the reasons I carry a gun. I was trained in the Military and one of the rules I always think of when it comes to acceptable use of a firearm against another person is if that person is threatening loss of life, limb, or eyesight.

Thread title is misleading, he didn't actually shoot him.
Agreed on this one as well. No shots were actually fired.

How many people died from getting stabbed by this guy?

It's a rhetorical question by the way. I know the answer already.

Exactly.

This is why sane people should be allowed to carry guns in the US though.

Sometimes all it takes to stop something is Mind Bullets.

On July 13th in Florida a older man with a .357 magnum saved the day at an internet cafe against two armed men one whom had a firearm.

Granted, he could have gone about it much better, he wounded the two perps.

Maybe if this saved the day stuff made local and national news more often then shootings, it might deter would-be robbers/shooters?

That doesn't pay for the media, cause it doesn't cause outrage.

An excellent example of why conceal and carry should be allowed in every state.

In your case, yes. It's like dealing with a little child who just keeps screaming the same thing over and over again and won't accept that anyone else has an opinion to offer.

Hmmm I'm not sure we can draw any conclusions, from this I can only conclude gun ownership failed to prevent two people from getting stabbed.

The gentlemen in question went into a store and bought the knife.

To quote the article:

Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon.
Sounds like banning stores that sell knifes would help too.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have read on these boards.

You have absolutely no clue what would have happened if the guy with the gun hadn't stopped the person. It could have been a lot worse.

You might as well say having atomic weapons didn't stop Japan from bombing Pearl Harbor.
