Default Just seen Avengers Assemble
Pretty good film, but it could have been better. The action scenes were extremely well done, but the inbetween bits were only ok and the plot very predictable. However the special effects were out of this world, without doubt the best use of 3D I have seen. They did link in to the previous films from Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and The Hulk as expected. As to who was the best avenger, well it was without doubt The Hulk! You may be thinking is he crazy, but when you see the film you will know why I voted him the best!

Couple of spoilers below

Spoiler! There is a great bit where Iron Man jumps off a building with no suit, and it chases after him then locks on in mid air! Loki at one point goes on about being a god, so Hulk comes along and just slams him about like a rag doll, which is really funny due to the timing of it!

Rating = 7.5 / 10

Glad to hear the Hulk is good, I was worried when they couldn't get Edward Norton.
I just finished watching Captain America and it was decent enough. How would you say that the Avengers compares to the individual hero movies?

I just saw it yesterday too, not on 3d on IMAX though (a total shame i know, but theatres here are literally packed and fully booked, it's just impossible to get into better cinemas at the moment), and I really really enjoyed it. I love the pacing of the movie, and how they showed how well they fought together during the final battle (despite their differences in the beginning).

I am also really glad in how well they gave every single one of the characters to show their worth, it was actually one of my earlier worries of maybe one or a few getting the focus of the movie.

all in all a really well done movie IMO

I really hope they keep Whedon on to direct more Marvel movies.

It was better than all the invidual movies except the original Iron Man.

Just got back from the Odeon watched it in 3D to start with the 3D was way overdone for me.
Towards the end when it gets more action packed the 3D became more suttle also the film took of, agreed the humour of the hulk was great, highly entertaining film really enjoyed it.

The best Marvel movie of them all (and I am a HUGE Spider-Man fan!).

Mark Ruffalo plays a perfect Bruce Banner and thanks to motion capture, a fantastic Hulk as well. Hulk really does steal the show in the last parts of the movie.

Be sure to stay for the "sneak peek" in the credits for what's in store. If you are a comic book nerd like me, you will have a nerd-gasm.

Whedon totally sprinkled his fairy dust over this movie, F**ing loved the film

Not seen anyone mention the fight where thor and hulk team up, the end of that scene is class.

Tony Stark: When they come, and they WILL come, they'll come for you.
Loki: I have an army.
Tony Stark: We have a Hulk.

Enjoyed it!

I really dislike 3D though. I didn't feel it really added to the movie, I prefer to watch without the dumb glasses on. (Which obviously wasn't an option, I mean I'd rather watch in 2D.)

Was it shot in 3D, or was it a 2D-3D conversion?

Figured as much, most of the time there was hardly any 3d, and the depth was minimal when there was.

They should just stick to 2D is the 3D is that bad, having to wear the glasses and see a dimmer picture is not worth the mediocre 3D effect.
