Default Japan's ever shrinking birth rate
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/05...panese-people/

Alright men I'm pretty sure you all know what we have to do... Who's with me?!? We'll repopulate that country whether they like it or not! And given what I've seen from their media the "or not" part isn't really a problem and would make for great television.

Oh Japan...I love you.

The rest of the world needs to follow Japan's example and slow their birth rates until we have a rate sustainable by the planet we live on, based on geography, food production, and fresh water supply.

However, if they are looking for any takers in repopulating...

Hell no, we need MORE people, and we need them to want to get the hell off of this doomed rock.

So we have lots and lots of people to send out in to space and make a new home of all of that mess.

Every animal and plant that does not get taken with us will die off, conservation is a non issue, especially since nothing is static.

Our desire to "conserve" thing's is contrary to evolution, and is a work of massive egotism based on jesus-ey ideas about the natural world.

We need to make this place so damned miserable that everyone wants to leave it....or our species is doomed too.

Probably not gonna matter much cos we're probably (1 in 48,000 chance) gonna get wiped out by Apophis anyway.

Meh, fine by me. I didn't want to get old, arthritic, and wrinkly anyway. But think of how many chicks will fall for the "world is about to end" line.

Rubbish, we want fewer, better educated and skilled people to do that - so there're jobs for those with little skills or intelligence and so less drain on the Government budget. These more educated, etc, people should also be more focussed on furthering the planet than getting their next billion from toxic loans, or whatever.

Thank goodness there are some private individuals and corporations who are continuing to push in the expectation of a return on their investments.

Maybe if they spent less time with Bukkaki and more time putting that stuff in the correct place then their birth rate would go up.

TBH, it would happen here as well if we didn't have so much immigration over the past decade.

They're obviously waiting for tentacle monsters from outer space to resolve the issue.

You think too small, how is having more people, same education "rubbish", your stance is foolish, space is huge, with nearly infinite resources.

Your way, putting all our eggs in one basket so to speak, has a much higher likelihood of our species dying out due to following outmoded and dull ways of thinking.

In your way of thinking, we'd send one ship out and if something happens..start all over, my way, you have billions of people, tens of billions, going different places, exploring and colonizing separate regions, not so worried about "economies/budgets" and thinking of resources as being something that needs to be hoarded.

People that think like that are the real drain on society, stuck in the past with no imagination or critical thinking skills. It makes me sad that many people share that small minded way of thinking. It holds us all back.

I also don't think you even actually understood what I was saying because you don't seem to look at the bigger picture.

The only real problem on Earth is overpopulation, which from all the other problems are either derived or strongly enforced. The Japanese live on a small group of isles, where most of the land is vertical and they are what, 130 Million?

They are doing their part in solving the problem, how about you?

lol People are stuck thinking that the ground around them, which is constantly changing, will last...We need to stop allowing such stagnant thinking. If we stop, I guarantee you, nothing else in reality will.

If we step off the evolution bus, it just keeps going and we'll be left behind.

More people, more risks...we need billions of people so we can "feed" space and still have some left over.

I'm already thinking we're living on different planets.

Until/if the time comes we can colonise space, we should preserve what we have. If we have nothing left here, there is a 0% chance we will survive.

We have Billions of people already. When are we starting to send the redundant Hundreds of Millions Chinese, Africans or Indians to stars? Resources are growing thin, soon we will only be able to send our selves to Stone Age.
