Firstly, I wasn't implying you had said anything negative about Facebook. I said "the closed-minded lack of forward thinking from some people on here is pretty funny". You responded to that and have now decided it includes you, not me.
So that means that either you came into this thread for the specific purpose of stirring up a bitch fest, or the comment about being closed minded was aimed directly at me.

Thanks either way, I appreciate that.

If you enjoyed anything social and / or community based you wouldn't be such an obnoxious git.

You're not even a good troll these days. I don't need everything I do, or everyone I talk to in a central hub. I have no problem with the facebook integration, I just won't use it. I have facebook to keep up with real friends, not to show off everywhere I've been on the internet. Do you think I would really want my friends coming here? Do you think I should should have all of the people I know in person know what dropkickmurphy82, or dangermoose thinks? That's one of the more socially inept ideas that you've had recently.

Haven't bothered reading the thread have you. It wasn't directed at anyone specific, but over the last few years there have been plenty of people saying that they hate facebook but haven't bothered giving it a go.

As for stirring up a bitch fest....if that's what you call stating the obvious then fair enough.

You only call me a troll because you don't like me calling you out on your BS...funnily enough you seem happy to call anyone else out. The fact that you have a tragically underdeveloped sense of humour doesn't help you out at all.

There seems to be a lot of angry young people in these forums of late. Dangermoose, you seem to cause a train crash with almost every thread you enter!

A lot of people want to look "cool" by trying to make me look stupid. I suspect they were bullied at school, or don't make friends easily and see it as a way to curry favour.

That's rich coming from a guy whose first account got banned for stirring up trouble.

That comment just makes it seem like you only come here to stir up trouble. This should be a place you would welcome your friends to join you in civil conversations on things regarding Futuremark and gaming. If you want to go on about other subjects there are many other sites that are geared just for that.. To many to count for that matter.

All that we the staff want is to provide a place were all feel welcome whether they have been here 10 years or a day.. you included.. We are going to great lengths to improve the site with this upgrade as well as the integration of the social tools to accomplish that goal. There is more to come like I said and I do hope you will be an active part of it like the rest of us.
If only this were sincere.

There are plenty of overtly sexist comments on these forums for example, and always have been, not to mention homophobic and other bigoted views, freely expressed with no consequence. For those reasons, I would not choose to share what goes on here with other aspects of my life. I admit I'll tolerate (to an extent) the adolescent comments here because I realize that I share an interest (gaming and technology) with a group that is largely made up of young males where this behavior is 'normal'.

Now maybe this says more about my duplicity than anything; my wife has always had a problem with my gaming interest because of the underlying attitude that goes with it. But if Futuremark is sincere about changing these boards, to make them welcoming for all, you need to do a lot more.

And the same goes back to the community too. I do find it funny that when users say a company needs to do a lot more, when I look for their contribution in assisting cleaning this up, I find little to none (last by you was 2 in early 2010 then the others from 2007).
As stated plenty of times, if you see it, use Notify Moderator and it'll be actioned. We cannot see everything and we can only make this place cleaner with the community assistance too.

I don't have any e-friends. I have real friends, real acquaintances and online randoms. I have seen too many stories of people turning out to be dudes, trannies, pedo's, or just nothing like what they say they are to consider anyone I haven't spent time with in the real world any kind of friend.

I don't like bacon, but I do like chicken, beef and pork chops.
Kind of like that?

Ah yes, really helpful. You've explained absolutely nothing, yet I imagine you're feeling pretty smug about how cryptic you have been.
