So, family is really getting big into firearms here lately.
3 family members + me. We like to go shooting a lot and as everyone knows who likes to shoot, ammo can get pretty expensive. Anyone reload your own? I think that there are a couple on these forums. Can you recommend some loaders/eqipment? Me and my father-in-law want to reload, but do not know what we should get, or at least not get. If all 4 of us pitch in, which I am sure is possible, we should be able to get a pretty awesome loader. As far as calibers we got .45 auto .40 s&w 10mm auto .223 7.62x54r 7.62x39 44 magnum .380 auto .25 auto Should we get a loader just for handgun calibers, and then a loader just for rifle calibers? |

I would have thought the gun gurus would have replied but, failing that, I'd suggest going in and having a talk to some of the gun shops in your area. For such a range of calibres you'll probably need a high end reloader with numerous additions or several stations for them.
Have you, and your family, considered changing some of the firearm choices, so you've more commonality between the ammunition for the firearms? |

Out of interest, are there any restrictions on firing high powered firearms in the forest or anything? I mean, technically a rifle bullet could go a couple of miles - how do you guarantee it won't find another person.
I really don't care about the morals of it so let's not turn this into a pro vs against gun argument, I'm just curious. |

Most of the time when you're shooting a gun, you're doing it in a safe place, like a firing range, or on your own land where you know the property lines and where anyone else might be. |

You learn in firearm safety at the age or 14 or 15 that you aren't just shooting at the thing you're aiming at, but everything behind it too. General rule of thumb is to never fire in a direction where you don't know what's behind the target. |
