Default Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Has anyone eaten there? I was out on a trip on the West coast and I saw one and I guess they are pretty popular. I tried their bacon cheeseburger but it only seemed marginally better than other fast-food joints and the bacon was pretty soggy. Anyone else been?

Sounds awfully close to two girls one cup, so no, I wouldn't ever eat there.

They generally have good burgers, but you could just found one with a lousy cook.

They are good, deserving of the popularity they get? Not sure about that, but decent.

I had a cheeseburger from there today for lunch. Not bad, it is fast food done right, similar to In-N-out burger (though In-N-Out is orders of magnitude better).

We've got one up here in St. Cloud. IMO their fries are terrible and the burgers mediocre. Not so great considering you pay like 10 bucks for just the burger.

Now Burger Time, there's a high quality place to sate your burger cravings! The burgers are enormous and chock full of toppings, the food is reasonably priced, and the default soft-drink size is the same as most places' "extra-large". They have also never once messed up a single thing on any of my orders, and that's damn-near a miracle. I don't think I've had a single trip to Arby's where they didn't mess up something.

They're expensive but decent.

Their bacon cheese dog is the best though.

I hear from my US friends that In and Out is the best over there.

Over here in Malta we have Burger King and Mc D's, they do taste completely different than yours though.

A Big Mac is about ten dollars though (€ 7), not 3 like there.

I ate there one time and it was pretty good. Not the best burger I ever had though.

It depends on which one you go to. We have about 5 of them here local of which I visit 2 of them. One location is better than the other by far. What I like is the hamburger they use is butcher shop fresh and never frozen so it is always juicy. The fries are cut in house and cooked in peanut oil. In ocean city MD there is a fry place on the boardwalk called Thrashers. At any given time you have to wait in a 30 minute line to get fries and that is ALL they sell. Well five guys fries are EXACTLY the same. How anybody could not like them is beyond me..

The Five Guys by me is great. [thumbup] Love the burgers, and the fries...the best I've had.

There's a Five Guys near where I work. Their burgers are OK but outrageously over-priced. $12.50 for a burger and fries. Yikes.

The one I was at (in Oregon) they showed the calorie count of each item on the menu, do they do that at each location? Sure made me think twice and get the smaller burger!

I usually eat two of the normal sized ones.
