Or middle click.
The middle click on my mouse requires way too much force to be useful for that. Plus I hate middle click in general.

I recall the bugzilla bug about this. There was great controversy. But it was decided to change the order as the vast majority of users use "open in new tab", so it should be first.

Yes, I never use "open in new window", and I had thoroughly trained myself to skip over it

Having Chrome and Firefox use the same context menu ordering is good

Cool. I figured you were on it for ages by now. I rely on your determination to stay on top of these things. Believe me, it's appreciated.

Assuming there are no Mac-related issues (I'm still on OS 10.4.11), I'll move to FF4 when I finish with the current crop of deadlines. Then I'll curl up with a nice single-malt, get familiar with it and browse for plug-ins.

Well, crap. 10.5 requirement confirmed. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you go the Luddite route.

Wait, you've got Lion already?

Another cool new FF4 feature: Tab groups. Ctrl-shift-e, or from the menu in the top right. I keep two tab groups (click and drag tabs around in the group editor to move them), one for work stuff, one for personal stuff. When I switch between them, it hides the tabs from the other group. It more cleanly separates my browsing contexts.
