Poll: Who is most likely to be most negatively impacted by the cost of health insurance: An unemployed college student buried under mounds of debt, or Microsoft?
Judging by the number of waivers granted by the Obama admin thus far, companies like Microsoft.

DriXnax makes a great point, that a lot of college students are ****ing stupid when it comes to politics, at an even greater proportion than voters generally (a remarkable feat). Not letting people vote until they've had a chance to get a real job and learn what it means to support yourself sounds like a good idea to me.
What if you have a disability that precludes you from entering the workforce, but not from voting?

Should married couples where only one person works have only one vote?

Idle rich who live solely on inherited income should be deprived of voting rights?

Screw the post grads. They need an incentive to stop sucking off the teat of academia and get out into the real world.
Sounds like you're resentful towards grant students.

People stay in college because there aren't enough jobs in the real world. If we wouldn't have started screwing up the economy in the 70's there wouldn't be a problem. People are getting too much education these days.
That's one of the most retarded things I've ever read.

Typically, med students do not graduate from school until the age of 26 (at best).

Just sayin'.

Also, kudos to Riess to making the thread legal. http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

Making things better for businesses IS making things better for people.

If microsoft makes more money, microsoft can expand. If microsoft can expand, microsoft hires more people. If microsoft highers more people....

it's like "if you give a mouse a cookie", except the progression gets better and better.

The point is that if you're too young to be able to pay for your own healthcare, you are too young to understand the real world since you're still being sheltered by your precious parents.
That's funny coming from a high schooler.

I don't think DinoDoc understands that the purpose of public policy is to make things better for people.
What policy that does that am I criticizing in this thread?

parents can PAY for their children's insurance just like they are their college education

In Argentina you lose your parents insurance at age 25, and when you lose it, you still have free public hospitals.

brulpcoersero 11-20-2010 06:04 AM

In Soviet Russia, insurance lose YOU!

Only people I like and do agree with should be allowed to vote!

As I pointed out in my response, Coulter doesn't have a spouse or kid either! So yea, both retarded and a hypocrite. Which everyone should have figured out by now.

I get a salary like anyone else who works for a non-profit.

We're too small and not required to fill out a full 990. Just the postcard.
