tiger told him at the at&t. it wasn't announced until now because williams was already committed to caddying for adam scott at the british. apparently tiger's pussy got hurt because williams was working while he wasn't playing.
So let me get this straight....Williams can work with other golfers, but gets to act like a petulant 5-year-old when Tiger wants to work with other caddies? The fact that Williams acts pussy-hurt and is trying to play the "poor me" card is even more hysterical when you factor in that. Tiger told Williams after he had already started caddying for Scott.

That's like cheating on your spouse and then being shocked and getting pissed at them if they say they want to step out as well.

I am w/ you on this one Kobe. I have a hard time feeling sorry for the guy after all the Millions he made off of Tiger. It was not like he has been Tigers caddie from the beginning. I don't remember Fluff making a big stink after Tiger let him go.
Players often change caddies when they feel a need for a change.

So you're not going to buy his book??
The juicy quotes will end up all over the internet. Nor reason to bore myself reading about Stevie Williams outside of this context.

I was marshalling at the AT&T and Stevie Williams was being interviewed more than the majority of the players. I saw he and Tiger in the same area at one point and they didn't even look at each other.

I wonder how he will handle just being another bag ape?

I'm sure he'll exhaust all avenues of book deals, interviews, tell-alls, etc.

I believe everything written in those tell-all books. It's not like anyone would sensationalize to make a few bucks.

This is one story that won't require further sensationalization. I just want details.

tiger won one major with fluff. and it's not like williams had caddied for schlubs prior to getting on tiger's bag.

Sorry if I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who made boatloads more money with Tiger than he would've with anyone else. I really could care less about who's holding who's bag, but there's no reason to be painting Williams as a martyr here. People change caddies all the time....and probably for a lot less than caddying for someone else.

Well, then, that book he's writing is going to be pretty damn boring.

Looks like Tiger's new bag ape will be his whoremonger, Bryon Bell.

The worst part of all of this is that it puts Adam Scott in a difficult spot. Williams is making it sound like he is the main reason that Scott was able to win, and now Scott will have to go to the PGA answering questions about his caddie.

Seriously. Thirteen Majors but this his most satisfying victory?

I wonder if he realizes how stupid that sounds.

I hope Tiger wins next week, if only because of this douchey bag-ape.
I have to agree. Did not Steve ever hear of the words "No Comment"? This is pileing it on, IMO.

This.

Hey Stevie....you get 10% of the payday. Don't forget who gets the other 90%.

On the other hand, it sort of takes some pressure off of Scott.

Bag Ape. Still makes me laugh.
The term makes it sound like anybody, or primate, can haul the bag around. But evidently Williams is in pretty high demand for a reason.
