Those pictures are amazing to put it mildly. With all of those visuals it has to be a bit distracting. It's great to see your enjoying yourself and thanks for sharing.

It looks like a US Open track to me. Tough and you pay big time for missing the fairways. That was the way it was at Union Point in North Georgia where the Southeastern group played Saturday. That course played 7600 yds from the tips.

old union was the name of that course gray, and you're right, anything out of those fwys was big trouble.

Jealousy doesn't properly describe what I am feeling at this moment.

Bandon's courses are so unique and I guess that is why it is considered one of the best courses in the world. The pics of Trails will be up today.

can't wait to see more pics, the course(s) look phenomenal. i can't believe how tough some of the holes look off the tee, they just look like there's nothing out there. were they visually intimidating off the tee? man, what a cool experience, thanks for taking the time to take some pics for us.

The course was definitely intimidating. When you climb a huge hill to get to a tee box, and then realize you are still not hitting down hill, it has a scary thing going on. But couple that with the 40 mph wind and it was crazy.

We played 1 hole that was 394 off the tee and slightly downhill. I hit a really good drive my caddy David says you are going to enjoy that one. I get up there and he hands me 3 wood. I said, are you sure? He said trust it. I absolutely nutted a 3 wood and came up 30 yards short. Best part was I then putt from 30 yards off the green to an elevated front right pin and saved par. Incredible golfing experience.

Great pics, looks like a very challenging course. I especially like the last pic in GG second post it seems your ball can run down right into the ocean.

biggest.3wood.ever!! that's sweet. sounds like having a caddie was invaluable out there. did you find that the fwy's tended to open up once you got the ball off the tee, or was it just that demanding?

Default Bandon Dunes
JB is still on this awesome adventure at Bandon Dunes and here are some of the pictures he took. Wow is it gorgeous there! He played 36 holes yesterday the first 18 was at Pacific Dunes and the 2nd 18 was at old MacDonald. For more info on these courses and Bandon Dunes in general here is their website http://www.bandondunesgolf.com/pages/golf/4.php.

The first 18 he said he didn't keep score it was not so great. He mentioned something about adjusting to the different grass. The second round was an 87 which he wasn't happy about either but he was working on only 3 hours of sleep so he is hoping today will be better.

i'm sure being able to play there and with the companions he had, it didn't really matter.
