That is what I said to my riding partner on the 2nd hole. I was playing with a new group and didn't know these guys well. On this hole I hit first and hit a pretty good drive, maybe 260-270. My riding partner went next and hit a good one. When we got to my ball I saw another, 80+ yards further down the fairway. That's when I asked the above question in the thread title.

Turns out this guy competes in Long Drive competitions and had recently placed 35th in the world championship (Senior division, age 45-52). Suddenly I didn't feel so bad.
