A few beers can really help me too. Usually I get the confidence after hitting a great shot, but it's short lived for me since I have alot to learn yet

Confidence is really understated in almost all aspects of everyday life. I love it when i'm really in a groove on the course and know in my mind that i'm going to make that 15 foot putt.

I've read a bit of Rotella's stuff and it's good. Simple to understand, maybe a bit too much name dropping, but good solid concepts you can relate to.

Confidence for me on the course seems to be linked to expectation. If I expect to play a shot well (and I usually do), confidence stays the same with a good result, but takes a knock with a bad one. I know that's not the best mindset, but that's what we battle against on the course.

Good point sir, it does take a knock with the bad. But as fast as it got knocked, that scrambling par brings it right back.

That's what I'm trying to focus on more. Usually for me, I make that par and walk away with the score I expected...instead of saying to myself that I saved a shot there. It's tough to give yourself a fair assessment during a round.

Confidence is huge for me. If I don't feel confident over the ball, or with a particular club, if typically doesn't work out very well. Sometimes you just have to trick your brain.

weird that I just saw this thread, as I just bought that book off amazon today, used for pretty cheap. Confidence is a funny thing. I find that I can have confidence in different parts of my game and sometimes it bleeds through my entire bag, but often times it is with particular clubs...

I think my 15th club is in the wrong flex for me.

This didn't get a lot of love but with the recent rash of PB, I thought I'd bring it back.
TC didn't shoot 69 just because of his irons
JN didn't PB because of the KBS nor did War
Buck didn't shot -3 because of the Seemore in the bag

It all may have helped but I say it was the 15th club in the bag....confidence
