Always off if I'm inside about 75 yards. It feels weird having it on for putting. Sometimes it bugs me when other people wear it on the green. I don't know why and would never say anything, but I think it looks wrong.
When I was not so serious about my game, about 4 years ago, I would just unvelcro my glove for putting. |

I leave my glove on all the time, even when putting. Don't notice a difference with it on or off, just a pain to keep taking it off and putting it on especially when it is warm out and it gets a little damp from sweat. I will take it off to refill my water bottle at the turn to avoid getting it wet and depending on how warm it is and how sweaty my palms have gotten that day I will often change gloves one or two times in a round. Could be psychological but a dry glove is always welcome halfway through a round.

I usually take my glove off for chips and putts, but if I'm taking any larger swing than a chip I prefer to have the glove on. I sometimes putt with my glove on to save time -- if I'm playing through another group, or if I've already taken so many strokes on a hole that its just time to leave.
I have to take my glove off to write down my score. I'm a lefty playing right handed, and I can't hold a pencil with my glove on. |
