After promising me they'd watch for it and stop it, my bank paid the $103 transfer, I just saw it on my online statement.

The bogus tracking number I was given for the merchandise from the cancelled auction shows it in St. Louis now.

I'm quite pissed about all this.

Btw, the new set of Callaway x20 tours I got are sweet.

Good feel, good distance. I hit a lot of 3 irons last night off the tee just because they were new clubs and I was either as long or longer than my buddies who were hitting drivers. I hit more greens than normal. Shot 41 which isn't good but I laid the turf over about 5 shots (my fault not the club). More distance from these clubs and a lower ball flight which I really like a lot.

If a new set of Callaway x forged doesn't show up here in the next few days then yes, I got fucked and paypal/ebay will burn.

I've got several comments for you ryr:

-If by chance the second set of clubs arrived (doubtful) why would you pay for them and have 2 sets of identical clubs? I'd see about returning them.

-I have had the same experience with hybrids and it pisses me off. The one I'm hitting now is the only one I haven't hooked but it is still a problem child. I think you and I are the only players who haven't unlocked the hybrid secret. Odd thing is I hit a 3 iron pretty well, in fact off the tee it is one of the better shots in my bag. But I have this giant hole in my game between the 3 iron and the driver. If I get on a par 3 that is much over 200 yards I'm screwed. Can't hit a fairway wood very well either.

-It sounds to me like your new clubs may be "bent strong" if you are hitting them lower and a bit longer. In other words a 5 iron is actually like a 4 1/2 iron. But if you like them who am I to say.

-Although I just bought irons a year ago I may consider forged as well. I should put some tape on my irons to see where I make contact. Most of my misses are pulls etc, I kind of doubt I hit too many off the toe anymore. But that feeling of hitting the sweet spot just right is a pretty rare thing for me and my cavity backs.

The project x flighted rifle shafts are supposed to give a lower ball flight, that's one reason I wanted them. I hit the ball really high. The lofts in this set I think are one degree stronger than my old set, and the same as the set before that.
The reason I'm going to accept these clubs is because I don't trust paypal to give me my money back. They're at the post office right now, they tried to deliver today. I can't return them, they came from The People's Republic of China. I'm going to go get them and still fight with paypal because it was a cancelled auction with a stolen account.

Yes they are. Almost a forged feel but I still get the cast forgiveness.

I tried the Callaway x20 tours and the Callaway x forged. My mind was made up on Callaway. I didn't like the looks of the new Titleists and I don't like Pings.

This is the strangest thing I've ever seen.

For starters I had to pay another $35 shipping, something to do with customs the post office lady said. I asked her if I could open the box before I did that, I knew she would say no and she said no. Never hurts to try though. I told her I hope there isn't a bag of cocaine or a communist rifle in there, and she said I didn't have to accept. My curiosity and the fact he's already got my money influenced me to pay the $35 and sign for the box.

I bring them home and open the box. The heads are shrinkwrapped but the plastic that covers the entire club have all been opened on the grip end. They look like Callaway X Forged. They have Callaway grips and labels on them and came in a Callaway box. (I only took 4 out of the box)

BUT

The Rifle label says that they're Project X Rifle 6.0 (stiff), and I bid on Rifle Project X 5.0 (the main reason I bought new clubs is because my shafts are too stiff, I have Rifle 6.0 in my titleists). The Callaway label down by the clubhead on the tip end of the shaft says that they're 5.0 (regular). It gets even stranger though.
They also have True Temper Dynamic Gold R300 shaft labels on the shafts.

Project X shafts and true temper dynamic gold shafts are two entirely different shafts. Dynamic gold is a stepped shaft and project x is smooth and has no steps.

I'm taking these with me tomorrow and going to try and show them to the asst. pro when the main pro isn't around. Asst. pro has a deal with Callaway and knows their stuff. Main pro gives me lessons and also owns the golf course and I don't want to make him mad with all this ebay shit.

I'm also going to fight this out with paypal until the end.

I did a lot of research into counterfeit golf clubs last night, since these are obviously counterfeit.

Makes me wonder how much counterfeit shit I've bought on ebay over the years and didn't even know it.

I bid on these clubs, a woman in St. Louis was the seller. I e-mailed her about them but went ahead and bought before she replied. Then she replied that someone had stolen her acccount and it wasn't her auction. I tried to cancel payment but it was too late (her paypal had been hacked also). I filed a claim with paypal.
Then I bought a set direct from Callaway that I know are real.

Then I received a package from the People's Republic of China with golf clubs in it. They look almost the same as the real thing but it's obvious that they're not. From the research I've done they either were heads stolen from a factory that makes Callaway heads or they were made in an entirely different factory.

Now I'll get a letter either from the asst. pro at my course or the Callaway rep here (he's the son of a guy I went to school with) certifying that they're fakes and make paypal refund my money.

OK I'm back. The tatoo on her ass reads "Leningrad 1995" so I guess my purchase of a 13 year old Russian girl with a firm ass checks out. Still she does look young. Do kids in Russia suck their thumb longer than American kids?
