Default Warming Up
I have a bad habit of not hitting balls before I play. In part because I don't allow enough time and in part because I hit the ball so much on the course, I don't want to tire myself out. Do you warm up or not? Do you see a difference in your game if you do vs. if you don't?

I rarely do. I will go to the practice green before my round though. As far as seeing a difference in my game ? It's so up and down at the moment I don't think I would be able to tell.

Almost every time before I play. THe Niblick is heavier than most clubs and I find that by hitting balls with it, it helps me get ready for my round and my body feeling better.

I don't warm up beforehand. My home course doesn't have a driving range & even if it did I wouldn't utilize it.

Warm up every time.I spend an hour warming up.Stretching, hitting balls on range then chipping and putting.

If I don't warm up before play,I must stretch and swing my weighted driver to help loosening up.

I do. I usually swing my lob wedge with a warm up weight, then I hit balls, putt, chip, then go out and play.

When I have time I do warm up, but I do so on the chipping green, not on the range. That seems to be of more benefit to me than hitting bad shots on the range. It requires the same rhythm and tempo for chipping and pitching as it does for a full swing, but it also sets a feel for distance on those touch shots, which is far more important for my scoring than hitting a couple of dozen range balls.

I've found that I usually play my best if I spend about a half hour in the chipping area and 10 or 15 minutes putting before I head to the first tee. I generally get to the tee feeling loose and relaxed and ready to play.

I like to hit some on the range, to see which driver I'm going to use (or, which shaft I'm going to use). Also to see how the flight off the tee is going to be (although once I get to the first tee, it might be totally different!). I like to chip some and do a little putting but I find that most of the time I don't get a good read on speed until the first putt on the course (the practice green is usually not the same speed as the course where I play). If I don't have time to hit the range, I'll swing a weighted club some and stretch out.

I rarely hit the range to take full swings before playing. I'll chip and putt for 15-20 minutes before, and just before the first tee shot I'll stretch and swing a couple of wedges together.

If I hit too many balls on the range before a round I just get tired. I know my swing pretty well and really only need a few minutes to stretch and maybe hit a few putts or chips to get loose. On occasion if there is a lot of time to kill I will hit maybe 10-15 balls or so, 3 or 4 PW, 7i, 4i swings, and maybe a few driver swings that is about it. A lot of times I am short on time to play so I am going out right onto the golf course. I used to think a big warm-up was necessary but the brutal truth is if you aren't very sure of your swing then a few minutes on the range before the round might help you some but probably not much.

I'm usually an hour early for each tee time. I hit a bucket or so. I really go through balls like crazy so I remind myself to slow myself down. I can really tire myself out. I hit 2 buckets before a round once, and could barely swing a club on the course.

Usually I'll practise on my chipping and putting.

I dont warm up by hitting balls before my round. I just stretch on the first tee by doing my normal golf swing while swinging 2 golf clubs.
I find that swing 2 golf clubs help me stretch a lot better because they are twice as heavy as what Im used to, so my muscles have to work a little harder.
After that, swinging just 1 club feels so light that I find its easier to make a smooth swing.

If I have time I like to start with a wedge,7i, hybrid, 3 wood and Driver and the chip and putt some balls. The biggest thing is that I make sure to have a few seconds before I tee off to wind down.

If I dont have time, I just practice swing with 2 wedges to loosen up and then let it rip.

Most of the time not, and usually only in sanctioned events. I know I will score better if I warm up, and time is usually the factor for not warming up. One thing I do when I do warm up, is what ever club I am going to use off the first tee, is the last club I warm up with.

I usually play better (especially the first 2-3 holes) if I have time to warm up before playing. Going as a single, it doesn't always happen as the starter at one of the local city munis will stick me in a group immediately.

If I can't warm up at the range/chipping green, I'll make sure to stretch my legs, back, and arms then swing my 5i & 6i together to loosen up.

If I have time before teeing off, I'll do the same stretching, then hit the range with a small bucket. Usually hit 6i, driver, 3w, 3h, 8i, 54* wedge, driver in that order, but sometimes run out of balls before finishing the wedge. Take the last 3-4 over to the chipping green for some practice, then grab my putter and get used to the speed of the practice green until it's time to tee off.

I will usually hit about 6 to 8 balls with full swings using a 6 iron before each round, time permitting....but no more than this even if I am swinging poorly that day.I don't want to "wear my self out" for the round and I figure that my swing will come back sometime during the round ...eventually anyway. I will also spend about 20 minutes playing what I think is referred to as 'the Ben Hogan' Game in which I will chip and putt from 30 to 40 feet from the fringe and try to get down in three strokes. I also do about 8 minutes of stretching before tee off. It definitely helps me and my score to warm up...but I don't go crazy with it. (The 'Ben Hogan Game' really helps me as I ususally either chip at least one real close to the pin and usually will have one to go in the hole about every othe round or so because of the chipping practice.)

I try to. I like to arrive 30-40 minutes before my time to hit balls. Sometimes you just show up and can get off right away so I don't. I usually score better when I hit 20-30 balls before the round. If not, the first 4-5 holes are a crap shoot. I love the courses that offer free range balls. I will show up an hour before the round if I can and hit as many as I can.
