Barelvi quotes him as a supporter of Zalzala by Arshad al-Qadri, but apparently he did ruju' later on. He has some books which seems in defense of Mawlana Maududi's Khilafat wa Mulukiyat, and Jamat e Islami. Hence the question who exactly is he? Note the he runs an islamic magazine Tajalli from the city of Deoband (not Darul Uloom i guess).

I dont know much about him but have read from a reliable source that he was indeed a supporter of Jamat e Islami. Our mainstream Ulama have condemned Maududi and Jamat e Islami for a number of reasons. So anyone going against it is not among the mainstream Deobandi Ulama, be him a graduate of Deoband, student of Deobandi Akabir or whatever!
