asalaamualaikum. I am going to order ' the students Bahishti zewar for males. Is this a good book. as many of the people I know have reccomended this book as good, ![]() Yes it is good. I think the "students version for males" is especially for learning from, the layout is different and there are also questions after every topic i think, unlike the original Bahishti Zewar. |

As far as the stupidity is concerned, its what people who have plenty of time to waste (ghair muqallids) raise over and over again.
The dog slaughtering refers to a ruling in the hanafi mazhab which applies that any animal slaughtered with a knife causing the blood to flow shal become pure (except human and pigs). ما طهر جلده بالدبغ طهر بالذبح. (النقاية والهداية) اهـ What they don't understand is that it does not mean in any way that the meat of such an animal becomes halal, as Hazrat Thanwi has clearly stated himself. He further said that this ruling applied in medicine where doctors had to use parts of such animals during surgery , e.g. cats intestines to stitch internal wounds. Another point they miss is that dogs are halal according to some jurists of the maliki mazhab, like hyenas in the hanbali mazhab. But its the "Jihad" they are waging against the ahnaf/deobandis that blinds them from such facts. |

What they don't understand is that it does not mean in any way that the meat of such an animal becomes halal, as Hazrat Thanwi has clearly stated himself. he told me they r agree with Hazrat Thanwi that meat is harma. but question is slaughtering dog, is it allowed in islam? another question he told, without tanning how leather is pure to use? Another point they miss is that dogs are halal according to some jurists of the maliki mazhab, like hyenas in the hanbali mazhab for slaughtering? |

but question is slaughtering dog, is it allowed in islam? But if there is a valid reason then it is allowed. But keep in mind that valid reason is not limited to eating. Its because the only slaughtering we are used to is when done for eating, but Allah has created all these creatures for human to use in whatevery way permissible. Now say a doctor requires a certain part of a dog/haraam animal for the treatment of a human, if he takes it from a dead animal it will be impure because all dead animals are impure. To make it pure the animal should first be slauhgtered. It will then become pure for use, but the question of eating it still is bound to whether the animal itself is halal or not. |
