need exact meaning asap
Working on a quick paragraph for an upcoming government sponsored iftar. I'd like to include the literal meaning of the word ZABIHA.
Also, does TAYYIB mean |
Dhabiha is the animal that has been slaughtered in the way prescribed by Shari'a.
Tayyib means good, but it can depend a little bit on the context. |
I know that it is the process of slaughtering. I'd like to know the literal arabic meaning.
|
Dhabaha means to slaughter. Dhabiiha is a passive participle (ism maf'ul) i.e. the object being slaughtered.
