It is al Mawrid, not Mawlid. They are modernists and totally untrustworthy.

Thanks for the reply,

Can you explain why you say that? What have they said that is so modern or against the Aqeedah of the Ahl Sunnah wal Jam'aat?

Brothers,

When calling people misguided, and modernist, what specifically can you say that proves your view? I can't just go to people and say they're misguided. That holds no weight without evidence. Please, anyone in Pakistan know about this institution and who this sheikh is??

when our ulama label someone misguided, we have to agree.
its not necessary someone living in pakistan will know everything about him. just search the net for him. ask ulama near u. the truth will become apparent. compare his writings, sayings with the traditional scholars. Moreover, he's not a 'Shaikh'.

i had seen a clip about him in which he was saying that in islam there is no niqab or hijaab. he was saying that islam says to cover ur zeenat (beauty) so if someone is simple and had not done makeup, she dont need to be cover.
so what we call such ppl other the "misguided" bcz they are using urdu translation of quran to proposed they desired meanings.
he is a shaved person and women in his pgm dont do parda/ hajib and he says its ok in islam.

Al-Mawrid? Its an institute run by Mulhids... beware also of Ghamidi's student Moiz Amjad who is responsible for an "Islamic" site that used to have a high-ranking on Google. I took some of their online courses, they've basically put a lot of effort in reinterpreting "difficult" issues, such as the hijab, the death penalty for apostasy and so on. For example, they do not believe that it is necessary or fardh for a woman to cover her hair, all she needs to do is cover her chest...

If it's the same Javed Ghamdi i've heard of, then it rather believes in destroying Islam.
