Hands folded in Qiyam after ruku'?
Why do the Imams of Makkah understand that it is correct to keep the hands folded after the ruku' and not keep them by their sides like Hanafis, Malikis and Shafi'is? Can you shed some light please?http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...n_rolleyes.gif
Actually I'll do a search so don't bother replying to this thread. I'll delete it? |
why should this matter to you? You seem to ask irrelevant questions a lot. If these types of things are so important perhaps start learning fiqh under the guidance of a scholars. there are plenty in UK.

Wow... now we're going to "criticize" the Imams of the Haramain for when and how they fold their hands during salat. Just keeps getting better each and every day. I would most definitely recommend the OP ask the mods to delete this one. May Allah http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/taala.gif forgive me if I said something wrong. Allahu'Alam. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/jazak.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/salam.gif |
Why do you misunderstand my question? I was not criticising the Imams - I was interested where they derive that aspect of salaah from when other scholars tell us to keep our hands by the side. It's differences of interpreting the sources. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/icon_sad.gif

Uhhh...this is actually a position in the classical hanbali school as far as I know. So it would be unfair to call it "half-baked".

Yeah, i wouldn't say this is half-baked as it is recorded in al-Insaf from Imam Ahmad (Rahimahullah): الثانية : قال الإمام أحمد : إذا رفع رأسه من الركوع : إن شاء أرسل يديه ، وإن شاء وضع يمينه على شماله But on the other hand the "Ahlul Confused" do have this mentality that their opinions are "correct" and they rant that they have clear Ahadith, so is there a authentic sareeh hadith regarding this issue that the hands folded after Ruku''? Sh. al-Albani indeed called this a Bid'ah Dalaalah as he mentioned in his footnotes of Sifatu al-Salah: قال "العلامة" الألباني رحمه الله , (صفة صلاة النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم ص 120) : (( و لست أشك في أن وضع اليدين على الصدر في هذا القيام ( يعني بعد الرفع من الركوع) بدعة ضلالة , لأنه لم يرد مطلقا في شيء من أحاديث الصلاة _ وما أكثرها _, ولا ذكره أحد من أئمة الحديث فيما أعلم )) اهى. But Sh. Bin Baaz did make a reply, this was because he may have thought it was an attack on the Hanbali heritage by a Laa Madh-habi! Wallahu A'lam. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/wasalam.gif |
Forgive me. I should've clarified that I used the term half-baked in reference to the so called 'salafis' who act upon this. I am aware of the view being ascribed to Imam Ahmad (rahimahullāh) and his ijtihād is for the true Hanbali 'ulama to decide whether or not this is to be acted upon (wallāhu a'lam). However, the 'salafis' of today who falsely ascribe themselves to the Hanbali madhhab are not at all reliable authorities in matters of jurisprudence or creed and are not true representatives of the noble Imam.
