Default Im Hungry..
Help!

Im on day 3 of the VLC phase. Im doing injections and have done the 2 loading days..

Im soo hungry, in my research before starting this, i thought the major benefit was little to no hunger..
Ive done 500 calorie diets before and i feel no difference between having the HCG that cause me $800 or not having it.

Any support or suggestions would be fantastic

Hello! I'm sorry you are feeling this way, but it is completely normal to feel hunger for the first 5 days or so from my experience (HCG 2x a year apart). I think people misspeak when they say that you won't be hungry on this diet since I have heard of maybe one person say that they were not hungry the first week and I had a hard time believing them. Keep in mind that a lot of the hunger during the first week is adapting to eating less food and also "psychological" hunger of not being able to eat what you want, as often as you want or in the same quantities. It really is a mental war for most people. Plus, your body is normally detoxing that week and you are adapting to eating clean--without oils and not in a quantity that would make you feel "full" like you normally would.

Rest assured that you will feel much better the second week. If you get to Day 5 and feel truly ravenous like you are going to pass out from hunger and cannot function you are so hungry, then you need to take a look at your dosage. Remember that too much HCG can cause intense hunger just like too little can. But it needs to be true physical hunger not just "this totally sucks and is no fun and I want to eat like I normally do" hunger.

When you say you are on a fixed dose of 25 units, are you using the syringes that have 100 units on them? Also, how did you mix it? Some people are told 125 cc which is really the very lowest I've ever seen someone take. Dr. S says 125cc, my doctor said 150 cc (which seems to be the low point most start at from what I can tell), but I need 175 cc (as do many others) in order to not feel hungry. For me to get 175 cc on a 100 unit syringe, I have to inject 70 units if it is mixed with 20 cc bac water, 35 cc if mixed with a total of 10 cc bac water, and 17.5 units on the other needs I was using that only went up to 30 units.

Hopefully you are getting some good losses to help push you through this tough part of the diet. Most people have their best losses during the first week so that's a good motivator when you are battling the hunger phase!

I'm starving too and I'm on day 7. I take 175cc. The nurse told me I wasn't trying hard enough to ignore my hunger pains. I'm dizzy as I sit here and type this! I'm so frustrated and offended that she thought I wasn't trying to follow the protocol.

On the right dose there is no hunger. I've seen it over and over again in the 3 years I've been on the forum. Not just me but everyone. If there is hunger, the dose is wrong. 175 is too high for most, alainadoll. Try skipping your dose tomorrow and see how you feel by late afternoon and into the evening. Then take it down to 150. You may need to go lower.

Natalie, do you know how yours was mixed or what the dose is? It could be 125 (probably too low) or 250 which is outrageously high.

I was starving and having dizzy spells day 1-3 of my vlcd. I adjusted my dose from
175 to 150 and it is an amazing difference. I was grumbling hungry (not in my head but real hunger) by 10:30am before and dinner wasnt soon enough. Today I ate at 12:30 and partially just bc I knew I had to and the grumbles were just starting. Dinner last night I had to remind myself to eat and dinner tonight was a little late at 8:30 and I started getting hungry about 8. The dosage change has made a great difference. I also realized that my body doesn't need and can't handle large amounts of water in a short period or it makes me dizzy because its depleting vitamins and minerals faster than my body can handle and I was forcing the water/fluids because of the hunger so I spread my water/fluids out more and no starving and no dizzy. I'm much happier now than I was day 1-3 when I was a bear!! :-) This is my first round so im not experianced at all but I could have written this post myself on Tuesday so I thought I'd share. Good luck!!

Hi there. Sorry to hear this. hang in there. However, If you are hungry and ravenous, it might be worth checking your dose. Although......Dr. S never talked about adjusting the dosage. Depends whose protocol you are following Dr S. or Kevin Trudeau. I experienced some hunger the first week of round 1 until week 2. Part of my issue was not loading well enough the second load day, plus carb withdrawal and just hunger our of habit. I actually faired better round 1 when I had hunger for the first two weeks than round 2 where I was hungry only a few days. Not sure why, perhaps it was because round 2 was shorter.
Anyways, a little hunger before meals is NORMAL especially in the first week. What I mean is slight pang that reminds you you haven't eaten. So call it an empty feeling if you will. But not hunger pangs where you want to gnaw off your arm. Also I do not believe that from day one everyone have this euphoric feeling of no hunger especially when you have never done HCg before. There is an adjustment period to every change in life including HCG. Even Dr. S talks about slight feelings of hunger the first few days but they should all resolve quickly. You really shouldn't be hungry after the first week.
Hope this all resolves soon

I always feel great from day one if my dose is right. If it's not, then I adjust it and all is well the next day. I don't know many people who do the protocol exactly as Dr. S did with an injection deep into the butt muscle with a 3" needle and a dose of 125. That's why we have to adjust. Absorption is different and can vary from person to person.

LOL ouch!

I agree it's probably a dose issue though, I'm on hhcg drops and started at the 10 3x a day, skipped a day and was worse so i upped it to 12 3x/day. was fine for most of my p2! Then just a few days ago on my last week I was experiencing hunger out of nowhere for over two days, skipped a dose and was great so I knocked it down to 8 3x/day and again feel back to how I did. So my dose even changed near the end!

Thank goodness it can be altered bc feeling hungry on this diet can really mess a lot up
