Hi all.
I have an odd question. I have been on the HCG for a week and a half and have lost 6.2 pounds after load weight. Not bad I guiess although my losses have slowed so much it is a little depressing to get on the scale each morning (0.2, 0.2, 0, 0.4....) So here is my situation. I have told a few people about this diet as I am very enthusiatic to have found something that finally works for weight loss. The problem is NO-one seems to beleive me. They give me a look lke "oh, boy, another one of her diets" and then they start pointing out everythign that is worng with it and why don't i just eat "HEALTHY" - whatever that friggin means. lol These are people without weight problems and who seem to eat whatever they want and not gain. I WISH this was me, but alas it is not. So.....back to my questions. There is a Biggest Loser contest starting at my work in 2 days. At first I decided not to enter becasue I have already started a diet and my big water woosh is gone and everyone else will have an unfair advantage as they still get to lose this big chunk of weight. But does anyone out there think there is an ok way to gain back a few pounds of water weight through one really off protocol meal and then I would assume it would go again really fast if I jump right back on the diet. Then I have a chance at winning and feeling like I proved to everyone that this plan really works! But I don't want to have to start at square one again with reducing my hunger and getting the crap out of my body BUT do you think one big carby meal woudl do it and not be TOO bad for the long run of my weight loss? I have about 32 days left of VLCD. Thoughts??? Thanks everyone! Lianne |

When I really push water in a day, generally happening when I feel gross after a hot bath, I know that I gain at least 5 pounds that day, but I am a whole lotta me and probably am drinking about 5 litres of water that day.
Rocks in your pockets? Not sure if that helps, but there's always the prospect of thinking "heavy" philosophical thoughts like why you care to sell hCG to people that aren't listening : ) Success stories mean little to those with their fingers in their ears. As an aside I lost 33 pounds doing all the right things (eating healthy, exercising and taking care of myself) in 7.5 months. In the first half of P2 (3 weeks) I lost almost the same weight. So I totally understand your point. Personally I would drop out of the contest and lose the weight for you, rather than to prove the validity of hCG. Taking 5 minutes on these boards proves overwhelmingly that hCG works. You are taking steps for a contest, rather than for your health and that path might be a bit dysfunctional. Just my 2.8 cents. p.s. You drop the contest. You stop telling people about your diet. You keep losing. On week 5 you walk past someone and they go, "Holy smokes, what are you doing to lose so much weight?" You wink and keep walking. |

Thanks for all your thoughts. I know this is for ME in the long run. Maybe I will just have a salty dinner the night before the contest. It's also for charity so I am going to enter it either way as my friend is the organizer. But grammy you are right! Even though my losses have been painfully slow the past few days, in the long run I should be able to beat anyone out. I hope!! COME ON HCG!!!! Do your thing baby!
