Learning Lessons for Round 2
Hi,
I am 10 days from finishing round 1 (42 days total). My weight loss has averaged .6 pounds/day so far. But my loss of inches has been disappointing. I'm only down 2.5 inches in my waist and 2.25 in my hips. I thought I would see more weight loss in these areas as they are my heaviest areas by far. I have not cheated once and have stuck to Dr. Simeon's original protocol. Others on this forum have recommended I increase my injection dose, so I'm now up to 165 mg daily from a starting point of 120 mg. (but am still hungry). Is there a relationship between my disappointing loss of inches and my dose? Should I cut out all fruit and substitute with protein and/or veggies? I have never eaten the breadsticks. Second question: I will probably be about 5 pounds short of goal after round one. Can I do another round for the remaining 5 pounds as well as to try and get my body to re-shape itself? Thanks! slm |
For many, inches are shed in P3 when reshaping happens! A higher dose has nothing to do with losing more http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/frown.png It needs to be just right to lose right. Hunger is not good. I think that dosage often needs to be adjusted down towards the end if hunger occurs. A good question to ask a moderator.
You can definitely try and substitute the fruit for more protein. I usually had 4-4.5 oz of protein when not having fruit. No expert, but from what I read it gets harder to lose weight the closer one gets to goal weight. You may be able to lose in other ways, like with intermittent fasting days, or with a primal diet. You can find more info on this on Mark's Daily Apple. Good luck! |
Sim, you should reshape some in P3, but yes, your results could very well be the hunger on this round. That's not good. Be very careful when you get to P3 because it will be easy to regain since you were hungry all through. Did you stay on a new dose at least 3 days when trying it?

yes, i stayed on the increased dose for 3 days.

Grammy--Your comment that I must be very careful in P3 not to gain weight raises more questions in my mind. Do you say that because I might have emotional responses due to being able to eat more that may cause me to give in to temptations/cravings? Or do you mean it is more physiological in nature because I never found the right dose during P2? Do I have any chance at all of properly resetting my hypothalamus in P3? I also wonder if I will be able to get through the last 3 days of no injections and eating 500 calories. On P2, I have skipped a dose every Sunday and am always hungrier on those days. Any other advice?
