Default So hungry and need dosing help before I fall of the wagon!!
Hi guys I am new here. Here is the deal: I am on R1 P2 D6 of VLCD (day 8 of injections). I am taking Rx HCG injections in my stomach fat. I mixed the HCG with 8.25 BW. I started at 150 iu (which is 25 on my insalin suringe) but I was so hungry all the time that I went down to 125IU, I have been on that now yesterday and today and I am still hungry. The huger varies from mild to starving through out the day. I need some advice about what to do. Here is a typical day of eatting for me, I do spread my food out. I also drink 85 to 100 oz of water a day.

apple
1 melba toast
3.5 oz chicken with salt and pepper
a bowl of cucumber with white viniger and salt

apple

1 melba toast
3.5oz chicken with salt and pepper
1 or 2 small tomato

all of this add up to just under 500 cals.

Please help me figure this out!!

Thanks,
teresa

Did you load well? Also, being either too low OR too high on your dosage can cause hunger. Grammy usually says that 125 iu is too low, and if you are feeling the same hunger on 150, then maybe you should try 175 iu and see if that helps.

What brand are you using? And how did you feel by last night? If you were still starving on the 125 (which is pretty low unless you're on Corion or Fertigyn) then try upping it to 175 like kbj said.

Hi, I'm actually in the same boat. I am taking 170 injections. I am hungry (stomach growls really loud!) and feel light headed and out of it until late morning/early afternoon after I eat my apple. I DEFINITELY loaded appropriately, so that is not the cause. I am just wondering if I need to adjust the dosage (either up or down). Plus I only lost .4 yesterday . . . I was hoping for more! I am on P2 D6. Thanks for any help!

Your dose is too high. Skip your next shot then take it down to 150. You may need to go even lower.

Thanks so much for the quick response! I am new to all of this . . . so why would I want to skip a dose? Thanks!

i have a dose question too. my first week of VLCD i had good losses, but headache and hunger never went away. I looked back over protcol and saw dose was supposed to be 125iu, not 160 like my friend told me. I switched and after about 3 days felt a little better, but also had no loss (not sure if this is from normal plateau- it was days 9-12...DAY 13 i lost .06). I am still feeling really bad though. hungry (ranges from a little to crampy pains in stomach), headaches (sometimes severe), tired, and irritable. Is my dose too high? too low?

Hi,
I found if I ditch the melba, life is alot better. I'm happy with between 3.5 and 4oz of chicken, 1.5 cups of steamed green beans and a cucumber...later an orange. Same for dinner except skip the orange at night a few nights a week. I have daily losses with this and no hunger. I'm at just below 125 units. R2 P2 VLCD29.

Good Luck!
