Default Depressed and ready to quit!
I'm taking zoloft for some pretty severe depression, it was working quite well for me until I started the hhcg diet. Now I'm crying over just about anything, not to mention starving! I just can't seem to get the dose right. I'm just now starting dady 7 of vlcd but I think I need to quit. I just can't function like this. I'm thinking about taking a few weeks off and eating low carb then starting back and using the patches I just ordered. I need some advice!

Hi

The first week is always the hardest I felt really hungry too and a little weepy x I have had bad depression and was hospitalised on and off for over 16 months, so I know where you are!!! Can you sleep?

I am not sure about the interaction with HCG and depression, it is a hormone...are your hormones out of balance, as this could be exaggerating your feelings, are you menopausal, pre TOM (assuming you are girl .

All these things will go into the pot...dont beat yourself up with you need to quit...take sometime to rest and recover...

Wishing you the best

Lynn x

My depression seemed to worsen a bit when I first started, mainly because the first week is hard to adjust to, especially if you're feeling lethargy, hunger, or disappointment.

I don't have suggestions, but I can say that it got better and easier for me.

There are many things that can cause hunger. Also I had some emotional ups and downs with the hcg as well. I think it's because it's helping the hormones to re-balance and adjust.

What kind and type of hcg are you taking? Dosage? How did you load? Are you drinking plenty of water? Are you double checking to make sure you are eating enough food and the correct portions? Is it emotional hunger or real tummy growling hunger?

I also sometimes use an appetite suppressant patch and have used an emotional rescue one at times and they both work great. I also used an all natural thing called better mood. Love it!

I hope this helps. Even if you go off and start again it's ok. Maybe you can get some help from the company so you will be successful. Just don't give up! You can do this!

Hi Stitchfluffy. I happened across your posting & I would echo what Grandma7 says AND I'd also check into Grammy's Groupies or Private Message her. Not only does she have a lot of experience but she also has some kind of experience with depression. I don't remember exactly what it is, but I remember reading something about that. Try to hang in, stay in touch with this web site, check into all of the different chat rooms and you should be able find exactly what you need. Good Luck!
