Lotion- HELP!!

This is my 3rd round, I knew to expect the dry skin, but this is awful. I can count 7 open, bleeding cracks on my hands and fingers. It's my TOM and I have had a 2 day stall, so I really don't want to risk using something that might make things worse, but it's pretty bad. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

Hi

I would use Aloe Vera gel. Fresh is best if you can get the leaves, but a good aloe gel will sooth and heal for you. Probably better than a cream any way, cause there is more healing value in aloe than a manufactured cream. You can use it moisturise all over. I use it on my face too.

Had the same thing happen and used baby/mineral oil without any gains or stalls. I also have used my oil free face cream on my hands without any problems. Not sure where you live, but I am attributing this to the cold and windy winter weather; my other rounds were in summer and fall and this did not happen. Also make sure you are drinking enough water.

Thanks ladies, I live in Utah, where it's been a very mild winter. I drink a TON of water and really thought that would help. Thanks again for the replies, I really appreciate it.

I buy alba Botanica oil free from Whole foods. You can also get it at drugstore.com .. it's wonderful!!

Hi klgroesbeck,

I'm skeptical about the whole 'absorbing oil into the skin is the same as eating it' meme but I've gone and gotten a specifically oil-free lotion: Neutrogena Moisture. Little to no scent, feels nice, hypoallergenic.

HTH.
