Lotion- HELP!!
This is my 3rd round, I knew to expect the dry skin, but this is awful. I can count 7 open, bleeding cracks on my hands and fingers. It's my TOM and I have had a 2 day stall, so I really don't want to risk using something that might make things worse, but it's pretty bad. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

Hi
I would use Aloe Vera gel. Fresh is best if you can get the leaves, but a good aloe gel will sooth and heal for you. Probably better than a cream any way, cause there is more healing value in aloe than a manufactured cream. You can use it moisturise all over. I use it on my face too. Lynn x |
Had the same thing happen and used baby/mineral oil without any gains or stalls. I also have used my oil free face cream on my hands without any problems. Not sure where you live, but I am attributing this to the cold and windy winter weather; my other rounds were in summer and fall and this did not happen. Also make sure you are drinking enough water.

Thanks ladies, I live in Utah, where it's been a very mild winter. I drink a TON of water and really thought that would help. Thanks again for the replies, I really appreciate it.

Hi klgroesbeck,
I'm skeptical about the whole 'absorbing oil into the skin is the same as eating it' meme but I've gone and gotten a specifically oil-free lotion: Neutrogena Moisture. Little to no scent, feels nice, hypoallergenic. HTH. - GS |
