I was introduced to HCG in May of this year-I could not believe how awesome one of my son's friends mom looked at the end of the year party at school for the kids-I barely recognized her! She was so excited about the diet and results-she gave me info that day she had printed.
I immediately began reading and placed my order. While waiting for the product to arrive I got onto this site and began looking at past post-at this time specifically on thyroid issues. I have never had a weight problem until after my son was born and it took three annual visits of me saying-"I have agained another 12lbs dont you think something is wrong" before they tested me then started trying to stablize my thyroid problem. I am not new to diets and like others have seen drs for help. I did not want to spend more money to loose a little weight then gain most of it back (typical results for me). I was concerned with the medication I was on if I would have the same failed results yet again...I emailed and a nice lady-I wish I could recall who it was, sent me to a new website. Once there I could not believe what I was reading, put HCG in closet and began my mission to change my thyroid problems-which also involved me taking two different types of antidepressents. I am now 3 months down the road, saw an endocrenologist and currently take Armour for my thyroid but NO more antidepressents!!! I am READY to change the rest of my life with HCG!!! I plan to begin the detox drops Monday moving into diet itself.... I am scared and have been on this site all day....I decided I would sign up and ask for support! As I am now only on the Armour should I continue to take this during the diet or stop? I have tried to read and find my answer. Next I dont see anything much on the detox phase-specifically the drops I have purchased from Natural Medical Supply-so any input, advice etc would be very much appreciated! Thanking you in advance and I look forward to hearing back from all of you! Tabbetha ![]() |

There are quite a few dieters here on supplemental thyroid medication. Keep the meds while on the diet. You might look in the Medical Conditions category/forum here for other input on thyroid. I have also heard a number of people refer favorably to StopTheThyroidMadness.com.
Most people do not do the detox phase. We just do Phase 2, the low calorie phase followed by the maintenance phases. Congrats on taking charge of your life. It may be scary right now, as many new things are, but you will find you are not alone and that there are many people here who have succeeded with similar challenges. Good luck! |

I admire you for taking control of your thyroid health as you have! I've been hypothyroid since I was a teen, and never equated my constant exhaustion and lethargy to being UNDER treated until recently. I'm on anti-depressants also, and I'm hoping to be able to stop them once I get my levels right. I just started taking T3 this week, so I'm hopeful...
There are indeed a lot of people on here who have thyroid issues and still lose well. I lost 24 on my first round, and doing well on this round! Congrats on starting hcg- you will do great!! |
