Is it just me, or does anyone else long for their "Equal" "Sweet and Low" or "Splenda"? I bought two different kinds, Regular and Vanilla Stevia, and I REALLY don't care for it (only use it in my coffee or tea)....Can we go back to one of the other sweeteners after
phase 2? I have been on Phase 2 now for 18 days, and think I've gotten the hang of how much of it to use, but I think that it's awful...Am I the only one? Everyone else appears to love it...I must have a "food allergy" to it..LOL! |

No, you're not the only one. I hate stevia. I used to use it until I learned there were alternatives. I used xylosweet for a couple years but now am using erythritol. Xylosweet tastes excellent! But erythritol, which is almost as good and tastes much better than stevia. It also does not create a laxation effect which was a slight problem for me with xylitol. And it's a 0 on the glycemic index.
Try one of those two. I personally would never eat artificial sweeteners. They can be harmful to your health and cause an insulin response. |

I just want sugar,LOL. I've never been too keen on any of the sweeteners. I have grown accustomed to it enough to tolerate it in hot tea and even put a pack in my strawberry smoothie. Maybe once I can add cream or milk or half/half in my coffee, I might drink coffee again. For now though the 1 tablespoon of milk a day and the stevia in coffee makes me about gag. I may just not pick up the coffee habit again. Not as a every morning thing anyway.
