Default Can barely force myself to eat....does anyone become anorexic on HCG?
I've gradually over the past several days gotten to the point where I really can barely force myself to eat anything. I don't know if it was just that I got so sick of chicken, beef, white fish and more chicken, along with salad greens and spinach or what. Two days ago I substituted a meat with one egg yolk and three whites, but could barely eat that. Yesterday I decided I would try one of those fat free fage yogurt days, and I MAY have eaten 6 ounces of that, and that was it for yesterday. What should I do? Should I just do the best I can for the next 10 days.....My 40 day vlcd should end of 8/13. Or should I try some other type of food, and if so, what? I am down 1.5 since yesterday, so the 6 ounces of yogurt only apparently didn't hurt my weight loss. I get a bit concerned because it's happening that when I see in person or on television foods I really love and used to crave, don't even phase my anymore. Never have had an eating disorder in the past,

How are you losses overall? This may be an unknown emotional responce to what coudl be seen as deprivation. Free association journal about it and see if a motivation pops out

Thanks Quelsen, but at the risk of sounding ignorant I'm not really sure what you mean. I just thought it was a physiological aversion to the same couple of foods over and over and over and over. Between my working on my job 10 or 11 hours every day and a remodeling project going on at home, I don't have time to journal and don't know if I could do that anyway. I am notorious for psychologically not being able to force myself to make lists, even though I need them and can never remember things such as what I need from the grocery store, etc.

Zoey, I was starting to feel like chewing food was torture, so I've been trying some things, since this is my 2nd round. Like some other people, I sub a protein shake. I mix one scoop of Spirutein, which comes in different flavors and package sizes, 8 oz of cold water, and my serving of strawberries in my blinder. Then, I enjoy my delicious shake. Honestly, I feel like it's a wonderful treat. That's been my dinner for about the last week and a half, and I've continued to lose. My husband started using a little mayo, mustard, and relish to make tuna salad last weekend, and he's doing great on the scale. After seeing his success, I did the same thing with my portion of chicken to enjoy some creamy chicken salad. We have a garden, so I eat my chicken salad on top of sliced tomatoes and I have been happily chomping down and still having great losses. I don't take the protocol lightly, and I would never tell someone else to deviate, but I just wanted to find a way to eat the amount of food that we're supposed to eat on p2. Just sharing...

I've also felt this way and I'm a week and a half in to phase 2. I'm not hungry and have had to force myself to eat. Today was the first day that I felt any hungry which I think was more of a craving since I litterally ate my lunch today with three of my absolute favorite foods right in front of my in the break room.... and I was having a super stressful day to top. I didnt cheat though. All the other day except the first day I felt like I could easily skip meals and not care less.
