I think most of us were talking about ragda since she had a faintly positive test. But that's pretty normal.

If you get a dark + tomorrow, then stop your drops and up your calories. I doubt you will lose weight after that unless you have morning sickness. But you might get a faint + so try not to get too excited because it's likely to be the hcg.

Thank you guys , it could ne the hcg rx , i tested again the same day and it was negative... i will re test in cople of days, i was pregnant twice before and when i tested the strip showd pregnant as soon as the urine reached the sensor , so i got to see a big dark +

Don't know if some of the questions were related to me or if they were to Ragda.

I am taking a good quality prenantal, B6, iron, and a baby aspirin daily(recommended by my fertility specialist) along with a few other supplements and have for a long time. I guess I should have added that I have PCOS(DX in oct 2007), usually only have TOM 3 or 4 times a year, but have been having a regular cycle for almost a year since we got serious with TTC and started clomid and other supplements. I do have 2 other children as well and had no issues getting or staying pregnant with them. I never even had a miscarriage until this year.

My OB/GYN was actually the one who recommended that I lose weight to possibly increase my chances of getting and staying pregnant. My fertility specialist agreed and said his wife did the HCG diet and had great success. Plus I knew some friends that were doing it and were also doing great.

I'm not too concerned about the calories at this point because I was severely sick with my son in the beginning and barely kept anything down and know for sure that I didn't eat 500 calories a day because everything would come right back up.

My question is: let's say i get a + tomorrow, should I immediately stop my drops and up my calories? should i immediately up them to a maintenence level or work my way up to 15-1800 cal/day. You don't need extra calories in your frist trimester and even after that only 300 calories/day.

Will I continue to lose when i first get PG even if I up my calories because of the increase in HCG?
I would consult your doctor. But if you got a pregnant reading and you are not on RX, you could be pregnant? Not sure, I would confirm with my OB then stop the drops. And slowly increase my calories. Add back oils, good fats keep my lean meats eat dairy and add complex carbs slowly. In P&I Dr. Simeon claimed that obese women can continue to lose weight even if they just eat healthy, low carb, protien and low fats and cut back slightly due to HCg. I don' believe in eating a set caloric intake as in 1200 or 1800 because everyone is different. Besides Dr. S never stated that in P&I he did say to increase calories but he didn't give a set point. I would just assume its somewhere between 1200-1800 for a woman. But I judge by hunger and stop when satisfied not FULL but when I have stopped the hunger urge. Except if you are Not hungry due to HCg during pregnancy. Then perhaps eat according to your body's BMR caloric intake requirement. You may continue to lose though more slowly BUT it depends. I guess only time will tell

Thanks bunches. I won't be testing for another week at least... if i can hold out that long, but i jsut kinda wanted to know what the experts on here thought. I greatly appreciate all your input.

Surromama - I love tweaking queens. But hopefully when I actually test it will be soooooo blazing that I won't need any tweaking. I am currently 7DPO(days past ovulation for those who don't know TTC lingo) and trying to hold out until monday, which will be 13DPO. i am going to see my husband on Thursday and coming back Saturday night. I'm not going to take any of my gazillion sticks with me... then i won't be tempted.... until i get home Sunday morning. haha

Here are some tests from 7DPO, 11DPO, 12 DPO and today, 13DPO! I never even looked at the 7DPO test(top) because I was leaving town, peed on it and left it on the counter. I was rushing around trying to get my truck packed since I was going to see my husband in WV for a few days. So I came home and saw this. The pee sticks got the best of me and I tested that night.

Yeah I guess I should have said that! I forget that not everyone is obsessed with Peeing on a stick! hahaha

I did have some blood work drawn today and hopefully will get the results tomorrow to know confirm it! I am heading to P3, upping fat, adding Fage, cheese and dairy, but keeping the sugars and starches out. I'll slowly add them in. I can't find much information on women who have gotten pregnant while on the diet and what they did. I don't think I can do any sort of stabilization either since I will gain being pregnant. I just don't want to gain a ton of weight.

Congrats on the new addition in its way and being 35 lbs down before you got pregnant.

My son's GF started hhcg the end of May and discovered she was pregnant about 10 days ago. She's due Feb 10th.

Congrats LINDA... so so happy for you..
You giving me hopes.. i'm 5'6" at 201lbs and trying to conceive.. and no luck. I have a 3yr old daughter and it happen naturally.. and since then I gain 40lbs and
haven't been able to take it off..
My obg/gyn had me on Clomid for the pass 2 months and no luck. So I blame it on my weight. I took a break off clomid and hoping by loosing weight it will happen...
I'm starting HCG tomorrow (8/1/11) and hope it works!!! wish me luck.
