Hi,
I am a mom of four boys who needs to lose around 55 pounds. The baby weight didn't drop off after my last son was born and that was ten years ago. Since then I have gained even more weight. I began this WOE yesterday and this morning I am already down 2 pounds. I'm sure it is water weight, but this is the first time the scale has gone in the right direction in months! The biggest difficulty I am having is giving up soft drinks. I could easily drink six or seven cans of coke classic a day. I guess you now know where a lot of my extra weight came from. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks. ![]() |

Hello and welcome!
After a few days your cravings for sugar should subside... so ride it out, do whatever it takes to not give into it. When a CC sounds good, remind yourself that each 8 oz can has 97 calories and 27g of carbohydrate from pure sugar (most of it the unhealthy HFSC kind). That's more carbs in one drink than you'll be eating in one day. Put it into perspective? ![]() Good luck! Any questions? Tril |

I have lost 6 pounds so far.
The only complaint I have is I am so tired. I seemed to be doing okay for the first couple of days, but today I can't seem to keep my eyes open. I think I am missing the caffeine from all of the soft drinks I use to consume. I'm sure it will get better. I am thrilled that the scale is finally moving in the right direction. After months of the scale going up and up, it is now going down. Yay! I am down to 179 and my goal is 130 0r 135. I have a long way to go, but I know I can do it. |
