Flaxseed Bread and Induction

I have found this really great recipe ingredients are
1 egg
splash of vanilla
1 tbs butter
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 pk splenda
pinch of cinnamon
2 tbs flaxseed
mix and nuk for 2 minutes
**2 Net carbs.

is this really true and is this really allowed in the induction i truly dont want to mess this up I'm already seeing and feeling the results. But i have already had this bread twice and I'm just being cautious about how strict i am on the induction.

Thank you I am just being very careful of what i am eating and i guess i did fail to mention that i had had the bread twice in the period of 5 days so its not to often is it, or should i limit my intake to only once a week.

Eat it only as often as your body allows. If you can eat it twice a week and still lose regularly, go for it! If it slows you down, though, back off a bit and enjoy it less frequently. I have used a similar kind of flax bread for sandwiches and pizza crusts before too.

http://www.lowcarbsite.com/images/sm...on_redface.gif I'm going to pull a tmi but i think this flaxseed is helping to keep me regular (digestively) i have a really bad problem with that so it might help. A new question i have know is the heavy 0 carb cream and cream cheese with splenda mixture is this allowed on the atkins. I have a really bad sweet tooth that has not hit me yet but i am in fear that it may and i just want to be prepared before it does and i raid the cupboards for something sweet. I just refuse to fail and if i can help by adding substitutes and still continue to lose well i would rather be on that path. Thank you again ladies for being so promt and helpful i am really beginning to like this forum thing i've never joined anything like this and if i talk too much just tell i'm like that in person to but loud. There are limits to how much heavy cream and how much cheese you should eat per day during induction. For a lot of people it can slow them down or stop their loss altogether. My hub for one is sensative to too much heavy cream. We've experemented with a bunch of different things, but one of my favorites is sugar free jello with a smidge of whipped cream on top. If you think you'll have a hard time controlling portions you can either buy the pre made cups, or get a bunch of little reusable plastic containers and divided the boxed kind up before it jells. I've done both.

I also like low carb coffee drinks. We have a cheap little espresso machine and I'll pour a couple of (decaf!) shots over ice with a little cream and sugar free syrup. Cold, creamy, and satisfying. You can get the sugar free syrup all over the place. Do you have a World Market in your town? I usually find a pretty decent selection of flavors there.

"A new question i have know is the heavy 0 carb cream and cream cheese with splenda mixture is this allowed on the atkins."

There's no such thing as 0 carb cream. Heavy cream has 0.42g carb per TBS. That has to come out of your daily limit (the 5 to 8 grams you have to play with).

Cream cheese has 0.4 g per TBS (0.8 per ounce). Cheese is also limited. You can have 3 to 4 ounces of cheese per day. That's 2.4 to 3.2 if you chose cream cheese.

Add your heavy cream and cream cheese together... that's nearly all of the carbs you have other than your veggies. Oh... and the Splenda... that's 1g per packet (limit is 3 per day).

So yes, you can have the cream and the cream cheese/Splenda stuff, but you'll have to limit something else in order to have it.

Thank you for the information i think i'm just going to stay away from the cream mixture I really dont want to mess any of this up I'm 12lbs down in 7days and I feel great. I want this to continue without stalling or stopping the weight loss. Great advice.

A couple extra comments.

1) As a seed, Flax is very stable. But once ground, the oils can go rancid quickly. Flax seed has a lot of oil in it compared to other seeds.

2) If you buy your Flax pre-ground - keep it in the refrigerator.

3) Some stores sell more then others - always check the expiration dates on the package and check it in all the stores you shop - I find the freshest is at my local organic co-op and also at the highest volume big-box grocery. If in doubt - buy the seeds and grind it yourself.
