I used to listen to some of their stuff. One of my favorites by them was "Man In The Box". Wish I could say more about them, but I've alway's been geared more toward's Metallica when I turn to something heavy, which is very, very rare anymore. Alice is good though.

I've heard Down In A Hole (I think) and Check My Brain. I think I liked Down In A Hole, Check My Brain is a tune.

But when there's an incredibly hot girl playing it on a white guitar, you sort of loose sight of how good the song is...

They have softer songs.
Try "Your Decision" or "No Excuses". Both are really good.

Check My Brain is new. Down In A Hole is from their first album or something old like that.

EDIT: 1992. Second album.

You haven't heard your "Favourite band"'s latest material?

You're not much of a fan, are you?

Ah, thought I said Check Your Brain first.

Either way, not even listening to all of a band's material before declaring them "Your favourite band" is incredibly naive.

It's one of my personal favorites. It's maybe my second favorite, after Them Bones.

My two favorites would have to be:[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nco_kh8xJDs"]YouTube - Alice In Chains - Would?[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7UIzsx8h68"]YouTube - Alice in Chains Rain When I Die[/ame]

And Dirt is probably in my top 25 albums of all time.
