You been to Zelda's??

They specialize in Chicago style..... I prefer NY but it is pretty good stuff..... Don't go w/ veggins though..... They have great veg pizza but you will miss out on the other stuff.......
Yes...I have had this pizza.....but I'm not driving 16 miles to downtown Sac for a piece. I reserve that for the Chinese buffet on Broadway! LOL! Although...we probably won't be going back there since a great new place opened up next to the Wal Mart Super Center on Florin. GREAT California roll (yes..I know that's Japanese, but they have it) mongolian BBQ, shrimp etc...only about $10 bucks.

I wish I could cook, or had the stuff to try. to make whole grain crust.Prolly no that hard.....I get a Kashi pizza ( 10 whole grains), and add toppings.

The crust ( little topings on it ) is about $6, then you add what you want. Whole grain pizzas are fantastic, whatever you get/make them.

Nothing like spending $25 to make a $6 pizza........lol

LOL, that never seems to work, i hate cooking, but the women i've dated will just call for a pizza delivery.

White dough just grosses me out, you can put cavier on it, and it's still nutrition free cardboard.

I guess the Pizza guy is not getting my vote.

I think that was spinach. The original Italian pizza used spinach. It was to show the colors of the flag of Italy.
Wasn't the original made in Rome with honey? I think the modern Margherit was named after a queen using Tomato and Basil.

Spinach gets too watery on a pizza

The trick to making good pizza at home is not putting too much stuff on it. It makes the crust soggy. You should never be able to use $25 worth of toppings even if you use expensive stuff.

I have had fairly good pizza (frozen) w/ spinach & feta..... Thin crust that was not soggy @ all.......

I have not made one in a long time but it cost more as I don't normally have those ingredients in my house........ + it is a lot of work......... Not worth it to me..........

Of course I waste an hour or two making soup.......

You need to upgrade where you look for women. Pizza dough can be made easily. Yeast, water, flour. There's unbleached white pastry flour in most stores. Or you can use wheat..just sift it first. Wheat will have more texture so make a thin crust. Then go for any toppings you want! I love using a pesto first then toppings.

I'll have to check it out.( the pizza crust)

I'm going out ( just for the sake of a date/female) with a woman up the street, 5 years younger then me.
She has a yappy dog. can't find the kitchen, and smokes cigs like a chimney.
Best thing is I can walk home in the middle of the night, if you catch my drift.

I give up on relationships, the one i really loved as i was getting divorced, up and died while i was in jail ( for dealing hashish) for 3 lousy weeks.
I didn't even get to go to her funeral.

Then i found the FAB g/f in Boston, but i was a mess by then, still an addict, and refused to move up to that frozen tundra - she left me when she decided she was gay.

Forget it, i'm a crusty old batchelor, and I don't have to put up with a "companion"; being perfectly happy by myself.

The woman up the street and I have an unspoken agreement -we get together when we feel the need, but we both know this isn't going anywhere.

we're fine with that.

Spinach on white pizza with egg cooked on top and sliced genovese plum tomatoes with shaved artichoke on a thin crust is one of my favorite New York style pies.

Sounds like a friend with benefits. NP with that if it works for you. Personally, I'd never be able to deal with the cigs thing. That's a deal breaker for me.

I've never experienced a problem with finding men... not certain if that's a good thing or not. lol

Been a while since I've lived in a city but I remember there were always lots of free events to go to in Berkeley. Just being open to talking and smiling helps. It doesn't need to be for sex...just having some female friends is a good place to start. They might even offer you a home cooked meal once in a while and it beats the heck out of spending Thanksgiving alone.

I'm an ex smoker, ex over eater/ ex drug/ user/ ex husband/ ex everything.

I am socialble, i got friends around the neighborhood, 1 guy who plays crummy chess, and the Orlando Chess club isn't far away.

Problem is my work is 3/4 on the weekends -i find that's the best time for infomercial sales. Ppl who actually still have jobs, call in and i make the sales.

My favorite day is a January monday morning - beautiful nice weather, nobody around.
The neighborhood is quiet, that's when i find meditation, or being outside most conductive.

I can do without ppl, and their crazed attachments, but im not a hermit, my sister is the socialble one, she's not far away.

She's single too - my mother kinna lives at both houses, I get the evenings alone, she's here a lot during the day.

Life is what you make of it. without Buddhist thought I'd proly be like the rest of the masses, out seeking diversions/pleasures of the moment.
Sitting at bars, running to movies.

Give me a chessboard, a good opponent, and the ability to talk ideas, and see the magic of the combinations on the chessboard.

I'll put up with the cigarettes for an evening, but other then that, i find most ppl just absolutely self absorbed in distractions, because they CANNOT understand the qualities of the quiet mind.

Buddism has helped me become this way, i no longer seek diversions.

I can come here, and talk ideas, go onlibe for a few quick chess games, and occasionally actully play on a physical board.

It works for me, if I had more moey i'd travel, but i don't -so i use the old Moody Blues tecnique:
