The 2000 movie The Beach Boys; an American Family was made for television and nominated for six Emmys, and took home three. The Beach Boys became the symbol of America's California dream!

Here are the first few minutes of this three hours story. Enjoy them, they are the best part, after that it is the story of a self-absorbed father exploiting the talent of his three sons and their friends.

Still it is a story of a wonderful time as the nation was obsessed with the California lifestyle before British music ruined it, (I exclude the Rolling Stones from this remark). Is it dead today? On the beaches named in the songs, yes it is gone, but if you take the time to look, it can not only be found, but lived!

If I had one wish, it would be to be one of those kids in the parking lot of a drive-in when the Beach Boys were playing for free to get established. This says a lot coming from a guy who was at one of their concerts in a football stadium when girls took off their tops and rocked on guys shoulders!

Individually, there were no more money grubbing and self-centered members of a band moreso than the Beach Boys. They all had their own managers and were suing each other constantly.

Her breasts look like a government bureaucracy.
Bloated beyond all sense of proportion.

Updated lyric:
"And she'll have fun, fun, fun till her broker steals her T-Bills away."

Obviously, living walking distance from the Pacific Ocean in the Palisades, I am one of those who see the Beach Boys as the "Ambassadors of Southern California." I am quite knowledgable on the subject, even if I do say so myself. Your remarks are simply not true, and you can not back them up with facts. Apologize for your ignorance. Flatlander!
