Default How do you feel about comical pet names?
Do you think it's "cruel" to name your dog something along the lines of "Dammit"? We all have a friend with a pet who has a name like that. Do you find it cruel or funny? I would have to say I'm indifferent. As long as the pet is happy, I guess I don't really see a problem, but I would never dub my pet something of the sort.

To be honest, I don't think the dog would even pay attention to what the name is. Unless it's a word that's used in every day life. For example if you used the name hello, and then went to say hello to everyone, dog might get a little confused.

I don't think it's cruel even though I would never personally do it. Unless you are constantly saying it in an aggressive way you could name them a swear word and I don't think they would be aware of the significance behind the word. Some dog commands/names in other languages sound like rude words to us but really have no negative context when translated.

I have a friend who is named after a day of the week and another who is named after a fruit. Now that is quite cruel if you ask me.

It's not cruel. They have no idea what the word means and it doesn't harm them in anyway. Sometimes it's really funny. It does get inappropriate if kids will be using the name, though.

The dog dose not care what its called. Other people might not like you calling that name though. I guess people can do what they want. I see no humor in it though.
