Default Sad news about Wallace
I am assuming that most people know who Wallace is. He is the most amazing disc dog, a Pit Bull rescued by Roo Yori who helped make him into one of the biggest, if not the biggest star in our breed.
He had emergency surgery for a bleeding splenic tumor last tuesday. Usually, those are not good news, and the suspicion is, that this one isn't good, either.
Please keep him in your thoughts. Send him some well-wishes on Facebook. I am sure, Roo will appreciate it, and so will Wallace.

Also, this all happened shortly after the release of a book about his life-story. I am pretty sure that Roo could use the money from the book sales to pay for Wallace's medical bills.. not to mention that, on the same day that Wallace went into surgery, Roo's other dog tore his cruciate ligament... that, too will be a bill to contend with. Let's help them get through this.

I just happened onto the info on facebook myself and thought we all should send positive thoughts towards them, given how much they have done for the breed. Updates are on FB.

Oh I am so sad to hear this. I didn't know he had a book out, since we are a big fan I will purchase it today. We named our boy after Wallace, call him Wally for short. I will send positive thoughts his way.

Thanks for sharing the news; even if I feel terrible knowing it.

Will send my well wishes and prayers.

I don't know about donations. Since I have not seen anything from Roo on any of the message boards I periodically check out, I think they are keeping it relatively low key? No idea, though. It would be cool if we could get the book into the top 10 bestseller list by coordinating purchases in his honor.

It worries me that he has the seizure-like episodes. Could very much be a cerebral metastasis. What a sad way for him to pass. Will have to buy the book this weekend.

I too saw this, and shed a few tears. I was amazed the first time I saw Wallace in action. I cannot imagine their pain. Wallace almost drown a few weeks ago, I'm guessing he had a seziure in the water, and I think things snow balled from there. Just really sad for them. I need to get this book ordered for the weekend.

That's a cool idea.

I saw that on FB today as well. Very sad update.
There was a link on his FB page to donate. So far vet bills were over $6000.

That's the same type of cancer Nick had, luckly his was confined to one spot on his leg and was all removed.

Just read on Facebook, it is cancer. Wallace has 2-12 weeks left to live or 3 to 6 months with chemo.

It's a bad kind of cancer too-hemangiosarcoma. So far I haven't seen anything on donations, but they are asking if you've bought the book (and finished it) to write a review on Amazon.
