Driving home this morning I saw along the road an approximately 6 month old pit bull puppy in a shitty part of town. I pulled over, threw her some food, and managed to get her to stay in one spot. She urinated and defecated herself as I approached, but sat and let me slip a leash over her head.

She is pretty emaciated...her ribs, spine, and hip bones are all clearly visible and some muscle loss as well. She is a mere 20 lbs. Her nails are so overgrown that they are starting to break at the tips. She reeked when I picked her up, mainly due to the fact that her legs and belly were stained yellow with urine; she must have been laying in it. She has some sores on her tail and head (mange?).

I am taking her tomorrow to get shots and get her nails clipped as well. She is a very, very sweet puppy. Extremely into people, she wants to be where ever we are and cuddles non-stop. I think due to her condition her energy is low, but she's very nice either way.
