Default What does this mean?
Ok, Up until we got Bloo I have never had a registered full bred dog. I have always had mutts or unregistered dogs. We got Bloo's papers today and along with them we got 4 gen and 6 gen preformance pedigrees. Now I am not even going to pretend I know how to read these things....at the bottom of the 6 gen it has mine and my boyfriend's name and then "purple ribbon breed" what does that mean?

Nothing important. Purple Ribbon-bred dogs have six generations of known ancestors and all 14 ancestors within the last three generations must be registered with UKC. That's it

"purple ribbon breed"
It's "BRED", not "BREED".
People get those two mixed up all the time and it drives me NUTS!

When people asked me if any of my dogs were full blooded I'd just respond "Yes, he has the appropriate number of pints at the moment"

Yes we did, he's named after one of our family's favorite cartoon characters from Foster's home for imaginary friends. No, not after the color and yes I know the color is spelled BLUE.

His registered name is Hadroc Family's Blooregard.

That used to be my favorite show. Lol my daughter was too young to like it, and now it's not on any more.

I could have wrote this. Lol my kid turned 6 today. I watched it before she was born, and when she was REALLY tiny. She's watched it with me a few times, Im not sure how. But she really liked it too. We love cartoons here. And I find myself watching them even if she's outside playing, or asleep. But that's not surprsing because I watched them before she was even born. lol

My boyfriend makes fun of me for watching cartoons...and then I catch him zoned out on the couch watching phineas and ferb. One of our all time faves beside's foster's are courage the cowardly dog and dexter's lab. They still play the reruns on boomerang. And my son has discovered a love for teen titans. I found a used DVD for him the other day and he has been watching it for 3 days.

We've had a few cats named after cartoon characters as well. We've had a tinkerbelle, then realized she was a he and changed her name to peter pan. We also had a Perry(phineas and ferb) and a Frankie(also from foster's) and an edwin(black cat from olivia) I like to let my kids have a part in naming our pets. That's how my aussie mix ended up being called waffles. lol

My daughter loves Courage. She watches it on her phone all the time. We like Cowder a lot too. I love all the names in that show! lol If i let my daughter name the dog he would have been Mr Sprakles Rainbow Pants. Not even kidding, thats the name she picked. She names every stuffed animal Emily, or Alex. Her two frogs are Daisy and Rosie. lol So, I pick the names for the pets! lol

I watch Phineas and Ferb when the kids are sleeping so I can actually hear it. Also a fan of the Fairly Odd-Parents. My dogs got lucky I didn't give them the names of my favorite characters, rofl.
