Default AntlerZ
Has anybody ever bought the AntlerZ product? Like it?

Also, are there any stores that I could get deer antlers at?

where do you get them for your dog, if you don't mind me asking? I'm just curious what type of store have them.. I've never seen them anywhere!

Out of all the specialty pet stores in my area, I only found one that carries antlers. They were elk antlers and extremely expensive. Peyton seems to like his okay, but it has lasted forever. You are probably better off ordering them online. They are hard to find.

We got some frome our local independent pet store, $15 for 9 inches with 1 big tine. Great investment, they're slow to chew and no big pieces break off.

Red bandanna should have them. I went to their store sometime last year to look at dog food and saw that they had deer antlers there for my dog to chew on. The store clerk tried to get me to buy them but I wasn't so sure it was safe to chew! I had no idea deer antlers were "safe" for dog chews.

Lucky for me my father deer hunts every year...I might just ask him to saw off a pair of deer antlers for my girls next them he get's a buck.

ta'da! here's the website-http://www.redbandannapetfood.com/browse.cfm/bones-chews/2,20.html with deer antlers...

LOL. My dogs are very hard chewers too. I thought I'd give the antlers a shot since I've seen so much about them being long-lasting. Cross your fingers--I'd love to have something to give to the dogs while I'm working or running errands!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone--I'm going to check out the sites and order some

If I left my antlers out 24/7, that's how it'd be here too. I only give them every once in awhile, for like 30-45min. at a time.

We like to have chews for the dogs out 24/7. The souper sized Nylabones are the only things that work. The antlers...not so much. I always heard the antlers were so tough and lasted forever and ever. Yeah....no.

mine aren't crazy about them, but the only antlers they have gotten are ones that I found in the woods. I wound up sticking them in with my gerbils forever ago, (they liked them!) and then lost track of where I put them.

We love them in our house and buy them (and an assortment of other things) from here: http://www.bestbullysticks.com/

I really like the grab bag they have. There's a good assortment of things, and the couple of times I've purchased it I believe it was only like $10.

This is the grab bag I'm talking about:

I've never given mine one, but I have a huge deer antler I found in the woods, and when Mollie sees it, she goes nuts!

a few thing about antlers... caution with antlerz - I found them to be very dry (brittle). As for dogs going through them fast - are you getting an appropriate size?? Like with the ones I carry smalls are deer, med. are a mix of deer or elk, but our larges are all elk so the are BIG. Also you don't want the antlers to be to fresh- a little seasoning does them good. The fresher the softer!

^^^very good point. This is something we had to work with initially. First we ordered large...didn't work. Then I believe the next size was jumbo and it was okay but we found the monster size to be perfect for our house.

I imagine the website I listed uses all deer antlers for the "antlerz" because they have elk listed elsewhere. They have all kinds of natural products, which I really like, and a lot of the times they're on sale-awesome.
