I don't really encourage them to hop straight up like that.
Bransen (Pit Bull mix) is 65lbs and I'm scared he could hurt his legs/hips landing.
He jumps quite high when playing games (such as Flirt Pole) but always runs at it, usually goes about 4'-5' or so.
Going after critters and things in the bush or yard, he will get quite high up, but then he's usually more or less "scrambling" not really jumping.
Jade (Labrador mix) would just bark at me if I tried, but she's 12 years old and shouldn't be jumping like that either.
Rudy (Mutt?) is only 7 months so I don't let him bounce around a lot either, but during general play I've seen him hop about 3.5' in the air at the highest.

Harley has jumped up to my eye level once (full body as if jumping a fence, Im 5'6) when he was jumping over Indy when playing chase (hes a bad judge at a lot of things lol). We dont do jumping though because if he lands even slightly off balance his hips give out and he just falls to the ground. Makes playing with a flirt pole hard because he likes to jump, but I dont like seeing him crumple to the ground when he lands with more weight on one leg than the other.

DH is 6'1" and Nick will jump up and lick his face.
Rosie can easily jump my shoulder height (I'm 5'7"), but I'm not letting her do that anymore. She's landed funny a couple times and I don't want her to hurt herself.

I say 5'4" because I am 5' and I hold the toy well over my head and snow can get it no prob.

Then you should see my boy. I think he spends too much time with my APBT who can scale/jump a 10 foot wall. But then again, he's not one of those bulky over done Rotties, so he's capable of anything he puts his tiny little mind to.

But back on topic...

My Saint Bernard can hop a 4 foot fence as I recently found out. No running involved, just standing still then HOP.

Miss Lucy can do at least 6 feet. More if she can get her paws on a surface mid jump and give herself a boost. She can also run straight up trees for the tasty baby birds and eggs. I think she may be made of springs.

Damas can do at least 6 feet. I popped him in an outdoor kennel one time at a friend's house, and clearly he wasn't having it, since I watched him hop a 6 foot kennel from the kitchen window.

But there is no jumping for toys allowed in my house.

Mike (Pimpers) can jump over 6ft. My BF nephew who was 6'1" used to put a treat his arm's lengh and he wold jump to get it.
