awww, poor girl, but on another note, you should really get RAW bones (I get mine FREE from the butcher, just ask for bones for your dog, say the larger the better so you get some nice 10 inch ones) I always buy something when I go in so its not like I am just getting bones but yea those smoked ones from pet stores are no good, they splinter to easy (my boy does not even like them, he would eat all the meat off then leave the bone no matter the size, and he will eat a raw bone like its a piece of pizza)

I totally agree, those bones from the stores last maybe a week. My inlaws brought my older dog a bone from a ham hock like fours years ago and its still being chewed on, is worn down quite a bit, but talk about lasting and around here you can buy ham hocks really cheap.

Plus those bones from the pet stores and stuff can break your dogs teeth, not to mention splinter and lodge in the gut and kill your dog.
Bear doesnt get any kind of cooked or smoked bones from the stores..
Next time I am shopping he will get a raw soup bone, or ox tails.. Screw killing my dog because I want to get him a "dog" bone lol

Plus raw bones are great for their teeth

yep what pookie said, we just had a $500 tooth extraction because she got ahold of one of those. I feed raw so having bones in my house is the norm.... but she found a "wreck" bone that had been out for awhile and started chomping away. Snapped the end off her large 3 root molar and exposed the pulp of the tooth. Extremely painful
SO.... they only get the RMB when they are fresh and after a couple days, in the garbage they go!!

Another good thing to know..that does sound painful I wouldnt want her to go through that. She managed to break one as a pup already and that was before I gave her the bones. Vet removed it free since she was already put under to be spayed when they noticed.

Default I broke my dogs heart.
Slayer is just a pure melodramatic little spaz. My dad in law stepped on her bone and most of it shattered, I didnt want to worry about her choking on bone shards so I tossed the whole thing in the garbage as a safety measure. She sat at the garbage and half howled and yelped for 15 minutes straight.
