Dogs turn around and put their butts on your feet?
I remember reading somewhere what it was all about but I cant remember now.. Bear does it, he will bring me his seahorse toy, and rub it on my foot, then turn around and rub/sit his but on my foot Then he looks back at me like I am supposed to know what he is doing.. Or sometimes he will do the rub/sit on my BF's foot, and then stands over his leg/foot kind of.. My BF asked me what it was all about and why he was doing it, but I cant remember and its bugging me.. |

No he isnt like sitting on it to keep his butt off the floor, its like he is rubbing his butt on me trying to get attention or is trying to tell me something but I dont know what lol
He usually has his toy in his mouth and then will flip around and push his butt at you. And no our feet dont smell lol |

Hm.. I don't know if there are other reasons, but the only dogs of mine who do it are the ones who like to be close and love physical contact. The closer they can be, the better. Star doesn't do this. (where the hell have you been?) |

Ive heard before its dominance. But Harley does it when he wants attention. If someone comes over and doesnt say hi to him first thing (which I tell people not to do, they cant acknowledge him until he calms down otherwise he jumps on peope) so in his attempt to get attention ASAP he will flop down on top of who evers feet and roll belly up and just lay there really still (trying to pretend hes calmed down). Sadly if Im not around it suckers everyone in and he lays there while they rub his belly but as soon as they stop he shoots up (typically knocking them in the face with his block head) and tries to lick their face before they know what happened. He doesnt do it out of dominance at all, just to get attention because he knows it works.
