I'm so proud of my girl. Our next door neighbor invited us to a nature trail to walk our dogs, because daisy(my dog) loves there black lab(claude).
My dog learned to play fetch watching me throw claude a ball through the fence, anyways we took them to the park and daisy has extreme drive for claude only wants to be around him ever. at this park there is a large pond and claude is stick(largest possible he could find) driven so we threw a stick(at least 4in x 5f)t in the pond and he dove in and about 5seconds later daisy dove right in with a running start. it was awesome especially since she hates water in her face. She dove in every time claude did and tried to get his stick away from him. We had her on a 20ft lead so she could only go so far but she paddled in place like a pro and even swam faster then claude who swims every day. i was so proud of her. had to share i was so excited |

Thats awesome! Im hoping to get something like this to happen with my lab. Harley LOVES water (even though he cannot swim to save his life, he has to have a long leash on and/or a life jacket or he will drown.. Ive had to use his long leash to reel him in several times because he was drowning and unable to move to get to shore lol) My lab on the other hand is not a fan of water. Ive only taken them to water together once but didnt have long leashes at the time and she acutally went in up to her belly following Harley (who also only went in that far since thats as far as his leash allowed that time). Hopfully when we take them down again we have the same luck you did and my lab goes in with Harley!
I agree though, need pictures to go with it!! |
