Default "American Pit Bull Terrier" Calender at the pet shop
We were at the pet shop near our house yesterday (Total Pet) where we went to pick up some blood-worms, check out the doggy gear, etc...
It's the best pet shop in town as far as we're concerned. All of their dogs/cats come from the local SPCA, they have a collar/leash/harness/etc trade in program where you get a certain % off your new collar for bringing in your old one to donate to the local shelter. They LOVE doing trade locally (I mean fish, rodents, etc) because it is better for the animals and cheaper for them, and I've traded them fish for fish and whatnot a few times. Just cool stuff like that is what makes this pet store our choice.

Of course though, like all pet stores, there are going to be things that piss me off.

They have a stand near the collars and stuff with a whole bunch of dog breed calendars for sale. Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd Dog, Border Collie, etc...
Naturally, Thomas picks up the one that says "American Pit Bull Terrier" and starts looking at it. Already we're both kinda chuckling at it, the dog on the cover is CLEARLY an AST not an APBT. Whatever, not that big of a deal I guess, they get confused all of the time.

So Thomas flips it over to see where it shows the pictures that are in the calendar.
We study carefully in silence for a few minutes and look at each other, then back at the calendar.
"I only see one Pit Bull." Thomas says.
He was right, I only saw one APBT in all 12 photos.

I saw the same thing at Petsmart.. They have a calandar labeled "American Pit Bull Terriers" and another one labled "American Staffordshire Terriers" and all I could do was shake my head at the dogs the calandars pictured. Ive been looking for a nice Pit Bull or even a Staffy one but all I can do is shake my head and put them back when I look at the dogs they have for each month... half are big blue hippos the other half all over weight and there was only one on the APBT calandar I thought could possible be an APBT

Yeah, I know the calender you're speaking of. I really wish I could find a calender of real APBT's.

Y'know what?
We should organize a photo contect and make a PBC calendar of all our dogs!
Not an APBT or AST callendar, just a Pit Bull Chat callendar of all Pit Bull Type dogs.
It could have a little note about each dog pitcured.
OH YEAH!

Kind of like this?

Yep, I've seen the Bully-filled calendar that says "APBT".. My Petsmart and other shops have it.

There was a APBT calendar in to Petco that had a DOGO ARGENTINO! I was appalled, I took a picture of it. In my opinion they should only feature confirmation champs, to insure they have a dog to standard.

I think I know the calendar you're talking about.

If I want a "pit bull" calendar, I'd get a Pin Ups for Pit Bulls one. Hot chicks (so I can't complain about the dogs), and cute dogs.

I was going to get one, but then got a free random calendar for 2011 in the mail.
