My mom tried to bring him inside tonight and somehow he got loose.
I've been trying to get his ass for the last 4 hours in the freezing cold, to no avail. I almost fucking had him and then he took off after a fucking cat in the woods by a main road. Please pray that he's safe and he'll come home tonight...... I probably won't sleep tonight at all, and according to my mom it's MY fault. |

I know how that can go. My mom has lost Java before when she was dog sitting her. My parents kennel run is inside the garage and outside with a doggy door to go outside. My mom was letting her in the house from inside the garage....garage door open. She doesn't understand that she needs to make her SIT and then WAIT before letting her in. Mom opened the door without making her sit and zoom. Away Java went.....right to the ditch in some other neighbors property. She came back after an hour of having a hell of a time...
I hope you find him soon. I know how stressful it is. |

Muttkip.I hope you find beau.perhaps you should put some sort of locking mechanism on his chainspot to keep your mom from releasing him again.I would be LIVID.
Our old beagle,Harley would get loose and follow his nose. This was before I knew him.Garilynn would use food to call him in and then grab him.(they fed canned and she would open a can and tap it) or he would end up at Sue's and she'd return him. |

Grrr!!!! Dontcha hate meddling do-gooders like that?? My mom is the same way - every time she sees my dogs (or even hears about them) she lays this guilt trip on me about how "cruel" I am for keeping them on chains. I have no doubt if she weren't so scared of them she'd do the same darn thing.
OK sorry for the rant. But that "chaining is cruel" thing just gets me every time!! Sometimes chaining is cruel, but sometimes it is not cruel at all & sometimes the dogs are chained for a GOOD REASON!! When will these bunny huggers get this through their thick skulls?? Whew! (breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out ...) That being said, I certainly hope Beau returns soon & now that you know your mom won't give a rip about what you say when he gets home you should "mother proof" his chain!! *sigh* Here's hoping for a happy reunion soon! Blessings ... |
