but feeding them until they cannot breath and forcing them to live in pain until they meet a sick death is okay?
cuz sadly this is the accepted mindset of most Americans. they do it to themselves, they do it to their children. supposedly its the "good life".

Ditto,...I see it everyday at work and it still gets to me. From Great Danes to Chihuahuas, sometimes the owners are just as over weight as their pets. Weight issues are more common in some breeds, which people don't think about when they get them. Or even try to help or change anything after they have gained the weight. Even if their trusted Vet mentions it and recommends ways to help.

Certain people you just can't tell them anything,.. even when it's too late and the damage is done. Some people just shouldn't have anything. Let alone a pot to piss in because they wouldn't take care of that either.

Default Fat dog craigslist.
DOG NEEDS HELP!
This dog belongs to my mother in law. she has had him since he was a pup. But she does not know how to properly care for him
he looks as if he is a jack russel/chi mix.
she has over fed him since day one, constanly feeding him treats and table scraps
he is extremly over weight
she has never clipped his nails and they are far too over grown and i can tell he is in pain
he can barely walk! he needs serious help and attention
so stop texting me telling me your 70 year old mom is interested dont even bother.
his name is oreo.
he hasnt been trainned for commands such as sitting, ect
but he is house broke
i talked her into getting rid of him but instead of listening she just went out and got another dog. so now oreo is getting less attention and he has to face the fact that his mom got a new dog and got rid of him
he needs a loving home, somebody that will get him back to his right weight and groom him right
he is black and white
a big attention hog
very good with kids, we have an eighteen month old litle girl that pulls on his ears and everything and he just sits there
he does let you know when somebody is coming by barking
i feel so sorry for him. i have done my best to try explaining to her how to take care of him
my landlord doesnt allow pets or i would put my experience into work.
if we dont find him a home, i am going to have no choice but the pound
im done watching poor oreo suffer.
he is in serious need of a good home.

20 rehoming fee
i would prefer texting @ 859-628-1874
but if u need to call u can call me @ 859-982-3971
my name is katie

Good lord that poor dog There are so many things wrong with that ad plus I do not think the age of the adopter should matter, a 10 year old child would take better care of that dog then that person's mother in law

Poor dog. If I was local, I would be very tempted to take that dog just to get it in shape.

There's no excuse for that. If you really love your dog why not show it by keeping it as healthy as possible versus killing it with milkbones?

That's just disgusting.

Someone should rescue it, and we can eat it.

I'd probably keep the skin and stuff it. I've always wanted to try my hand at taxidermy.

The skull would look good next to my Half Cat.

OMG that is just disgusting! Where is the dog located? IMO that is just as abusive, if not more so, than having a to skinny dog! Ugh, people make me sick

I thought the same Hogar.Minute I saw it I was like that is one fat chihuahua.

The should send all fat dogs to areas where there is a problem with shortages of food.

20 pounds of mess in a 5 pound bag. Poor lil vermin-dog! Send him up to MI and I will let Rita relentlessly chase him until he drops 10 pounds. Owen can help chase and Ike will just sit there and lol.

I think the poster was concerned with the age of the adopter because she doesn't want the dog to end up in the home of an elderly person who wouldn't have the energy to work off the pounds and properly groom the little sausage. She probably thinks older folks are all just like her mom.
